'14 GA OL Orlando Brown (Signed with Oklahoma)

How the hell is he only a 3 star with offers from every college team in the country. I'm pretty sure he has a few under the table from the cfl

More common with lineman since they're harder to evaluate. With backs, you can more easily assess stats and highlights. A lot of the lineman will climb after camps. Someone with good size is still going to rack up the offers.

So you are saying, this kid doesn't really have all these offers and his ranking on most sites is correct and will stay that way ?

I never said it will stay that way. I just said that non committable do exist.

I understand your point.. I think UT had to just turn down a rb wanting to commit.. I don't agree with it tho, and think kids should either have an offer or not.

I should've just asked , what's your opinion on Brown and why does he have so many "offers" but why do the services rank him a 3*? Thanks

Brown doesn't have a committable offer by many of those schools. Most schools offered him his sophomore year. He added a lot of bad weight his junior year and didn't perform as well so teams cooled on him. He doing better now and his stock is rising.

With a guy like Zeus, with a big frame like that, a coaching staff should have confidence in their development ability. He has the frame of an NFL franchise LT.

Maybe... Depends on his feet and quickness... Tackles in college lacking in both are called guards in the NFL

Hes got great feet.Watch his film and his foot work is fantastic for a kid that size and phsysical condition he is in. When he spends a year or so in sc he will be a beast because he has great foot work. Was the first thing I noticed about him.Lots and lots of big strong kids out there. The ones you see playing in the sec on Saturdays are the ones with great feet.He has that

U funny scotty.Just an old guy who played and coached a little o -line back in the day. Watching a big mauler kid like brown move to me is as pretty as an 80yrd td run or a long bomb for a give him 6.I luv to see the biguns that move like they are 200lbs not 300+.and the ones that play to the whistle and maybe a second or 2 longer.

Him and Thomas woul be two big athletic guys to start with.Would like to add Bruno ,and Pike also. Like the nasty streak both them and Wolfe play with. Wolfe is one of the better blocking HS tightends Ive seen in a while.

Interesting that you would choose to make tha point in the thread of a recruit who has no interest in UGA.....

Given Brown's offer list, I'd wager almost all of his offers are committable. Almost every significant program outside LSU has an offer to him. And Texas and USC don't exactly toss offers around like UT, Alabama, and UGA do.

Read up on what StlCardinals2618 posted. He made a great point that did not get any attention.

Watched his film and I have some thoughts on Brown. Kid is massively strong in his upper body. He gets to cheat a little right now beause of the strength advantage. He has to learn to keep his butt lower in pass protection. I would expect an experienced DL to immediately try to pull him due to him not playing a bit lower. He reallly needs to learn how to take a reach step without standing up as well.

This is all normal stuff for a high school lineman to need to learn going to college. He has great hands, and pretty good feet, especially for his size. I see him more as a mauling RT then a LT, but its always really hard to tell. He uses great hand placement and sticks with assignments well.

Everything he has to fix is easily coachable. A good verticle step and sinking his butt a bit would increase the ability of his pass blocking by leaps and bounds, and those are not rocket science.

This kid has HUGE upside, and is pretty good now as well.
