He is right. Right now, he's an absolute road grader. Great drive blocker, but needs to shed some weight and work on his technique, especially in pass blocking. He has the potential to be arguably the best OL in this class though, he's just not where he needs to be at right now. Still stoked about the pickup though. If he sheds the weight and the light bulb goes off, he will be a behemoth on the line.

So what if some of his dozens of offers aren't commitable? I hope his only commitable offer is UT.

The kid is a monster OL with a lot of talent and just needs some help with his diet and exercise routine. Not uncommon for someone of his size and age. Big deal! I'm pretty sure we have an entire staff of folks who will help Orlando with his diet and get him where he needs to be.

Hasn't he already trimmed off 30-40 lbs recently? Obviously the kid is working hard towards being a difference maker at the next level.

Can't wait until he commits in a couple days. Come on up, Orlando! Volnation is excited to have you!

I think we forgot about how early in the process it is for these guys.. A lot of schools will turn up the heat on a lot of these guys before its in ink.

To me, it doesn't make much sense when recruiting services update a particular recruit's order of interest to schools based on what they say on twitter rapidly, only to not do so when they "know" offers aren't committable. Just lazy if you ask me. I believe 95% of his offers are committable given his size and intangibles and the whole non-committable ploy is overblown. It's easy for a rival recruit and poster to point this out, but the worst thing about it is when someone apologizes for being "honest."

I'm excited about the pickup, and if all goes to what has been said and inferred, then Zeus is a Vol. Brick by Brick.

Thats a tuff situation though, because if you don't put a lot of offers out there then when you don't get the guys you went after you are stuck scrambling like Butch did when he was hired. If you do get those guys and that position fills up and you still have offers out there, then you can't just keep taking rb cause they wanna come.

It sucks, but really a good position to be in.
