No disrespect but do you think they were better than Al Wilson and crew? Just a question.it's hard to beat those boys for athleticism and tenacity. Al was so relentless it's crazy.
As a trio, yes. Ultimately, the only true measure of greatness is the degree to which a player's performance dwarfed those of his peers. If Walker was playing today, he would be light, even for a cornerback. Kiner, on the other hand, was a specimen. He is listed in the NFL archives at 6-1, 220 lbs. His performance against Alabama in 1969 is the only single-game performance by a Tennessee linebacker that, in my opinion, equaled, if not surpassed, Al Wilson's great game vs. Florida in 1998.
