'14 IL LB Clifton Garrett

Yea, there's a staunch of stale beef jerky and apple fritters in the air. Then you pass a trailer after a trailer and moo moo after moo moo.

Someone earlier this fall said ala or some such godforsaken state smelled like hot dog water. I seriously lol'd. Louisiana is very similar

Probably hard to get an exact number, but here's a question:

Is there another active defensive coach in the college game who has sent more players to the NFL than John Chavis? Off the top of my head, I can't think of anyone.

Blue-chippers can go pro at Tennessee, LSU, or Vandy...but I imagine there's a peace of mind in knowing that John Chavis is as prolific as anyone in the country in getting you to the next level. If I were an LB, LSU would be tough to beat.

One of the best IMO.

Recruiting top talent= putting players in the league. It's simple. The more highly rated recruits you get, better odds of the nfl. No matter who you are , you can't get someone that's just not that good in the league.

When you have a class like ours your able to pull these type of studs that are torn. See ole miss last year. Carl Lawson and Vonn bell would be vols on a class like our current one. They didn't want to be the only guys. They wanted to be cherry on top.

did anybody ever post this article?

Slight change in plans for the nation's top OLB Clifton Garrett regarding his upcoming #LSU visit: Five-Star OLB Clifton Garrett Alters LSU Visit Plans … via @247Sports

It was talked about I do believe. He decided to make his next lsu visit an OV instead of an UOV with an OV later on. IMO he is just going to commit to lsu on this trip while his family is there with him.

Or if Dooley would have tried just a little bit, Vonn Bell would be in orange.

LBs seem to be his forte. He's developed a good number of them.

I know chief is a good guy but don't kid yourself - he benefited from being at tenn and lsu when they were both hot. I don't think he did that much on the recruiting trail. Again nothing bad to say about him but he has been in the right spot at the right time.

His strength was development moreso than recruiting. It does require a certain level of talent to be elite or NFL level. The rest is development and he did very well with LBs.

Tough to be "right place, right time" for 20+ years.
