'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

I don't understand some of the rationale on here. When someone flips to us, he's welcomed with open arms and applauded for "seeing the light." When someone flips away from us, he's a dirty liar that lacks morals. By that reasoning, I guess people like Josh Dobbs didn't understand the meaning of the word "commitment" and need a lesson in what's wrong and what's correct, right? I personally wish Davonte the best of luck at Auburn and hope he helps beat Bama many times.

Lambert is a lying $ack of $--t.

All-barn is a dirty $cumbag program, that cheats and always has cheated. I just wonder how much money it took to pull this particular $witch-a-roo off. They always flip recruits from us at the last minute because they pay 'em and we don't. Just like Johnathan Ford the RB last year, Gabe Wright the DT a few years ago, and even Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown back in the day.

Go 'Noles ! Whip the cheaters !!!

I'm not upset he flipped we need players who want to play for UT and he didnt good luck Mr Lambert. Now lets go find some Vols.

Or.......or........ Garner is one of the best in the business and Auburn is headed to a NC game this year and stacked as far as talent for the next couple of years.
Yep. Ironically I think the line talent will be why Auburn wins that game and why Lambert regrets the hell out of his decision today. I'm really surprised at them being able to pull a Juco player like him with what they already have. This thread will likely be bumped in a few years, hopefully for Lambert it's not at his expense.

Congratulations to the kid. He chose Auburn, the team he wanted to be on. Tennessee has to win on the field folks. We haven't in 4 years. These are the types of players that will help get you to the top. Butch Jones, some way, some how has got to find a way to sign these types of players. Tennessee lost today. It hurts, but we'll sign our fair share. It's been time to put up or shut up (on the field).

Please ... anyone who's on twitter.... DO NOT TWEET THIS KID.... just unfollow and leave the kid alone.

Agree with everything you said except the kid part. At what part does one cease to be a kid? According to government, my parents, and the bill collectors that was at 18. I hear what youre saying though.

And Kipp Adams is tweeting they knew for weeks. Oh, and also this is a great time to subscribe to 247. Wow. The body ain't even cold yet.

Lame directed nuke and JJ to lie to Lsu/fL. That happened here as well IMO

It's high time lieing is no longer accepted as part of the process. Flipping is fine as long as kids are up front about the process.

I don't think most people trash a kid that doesn't choose the Vols. There are a lot of players that don't choose the Vols. What people get bent out of shape over is the way he did it. He should have decommitted days ago, possibly aloowing our staff to get in on another JUCO EE, but he screwed our coaches by switching on JUCO EE signing day. It's the equivalent of a NSD player switching on signing day. It is a slap in the face to CBJ and staff. I don't wish any ill will toward the kid but I've lost a huge amount of respect for him.

PERSPECTIVE:

Just can't wait to build enough depth where we no longer "need" jucos to save our butts every year because they are so easily swayed in the recruting process and rarely possess true loyalty or character.

We should create a Recruiting Forum Posting Policy where you have to agree to Terms and Conditions before you enter/post and that should be the headline.

Clearly, recruiting is not for everyone.

Co-signed. Stuff happens. It just does. We've got a great class of guys right now. We need to focus on them instead of 1 guy who decided to play elsewhere.

I think you can tell who is new to recruiting based on their reactions. Some of us have been utterly disappointed enough times to know that this is type of switch is pretty par for the course and thus, life goes on for us. Again, just shows what happens when you put together a great season on the field.

Could be worse though, he could have flipped to Bama or Florida...

Butch will get us another good one from somewhere. Kind of glad we did not get him now based on how he handled it. VFL requires kids of good character.
