'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

Lambert hasn't played a down and we still have Williams.

Really glad we got Williams. Somebody will have to step up at SDE.

Also I said might for a reason. Obviously no one knows what will happen now, but if he lives up to billing he's exactly what we needed for next season.

This is why winning early IS important to a new HC. Lambert is signing with a brand new HC who just happens to be heading to the NC game... and not one that went 5-7 with a loss to Vandy.

I hope to be wrong but IMO it was much bigger than many thought for Jones to make a stronger recovery with last year's class. It was not fair to expect it. But he needed to sign some studs who could really make a difference in '14 and '15. Absent that, he needed some stud JUCO's in this class. He's getting some but Lambert was a VERY big deal in that regard at a position of HUGE need.

Recruits will go with winners. The staff needs to prove it can win big games without an ideal roster starting next fall or this kind of disappointment will become much more commonplace.

good gracious stfu. You posted this crap at least one other place and it's as if you were waiting on one thing bad to happen to unleash your bull****. Still a top class and will be whether you want it to be or not, Dooley.

Well, there's one silver lining to this story.

He won't be going in January. He's not eligible! He made 2 D's and an F!

How can he sign if he is no longer eligible to EE? It would be some justice if he doesn't end up qualifying.

Where was this garbage when Dooley was in charge? You were his premier apologist.

Honestly, I like Williams just as much. Auburn has done this before and it doesn't surprise me they've done it again. I won't say shady recruiting was going on, but it wouldn't surprise me.

You serious? Silver lining indeed if true. Curious that this came out shortly after his flip though.

Pretty sure Williams was second team JUCO AA. He'll be a good one IMO.

What will our starting D - line look like?

DE - Vereen
DT - Owen Williams
DT - Carr/O'Brien
DE - Williams

Where'd you get that? And maybe that's what changed his mind? We needed him as an EE.

I just got off the phone with someone that just spoke with the staff (coaches). Id say that it's probably true. They're all very pissed off too. They were lied to badly!

74 is legit

Thanks. Again I could see the semester grades killing EE being the issue here. We're trying to take a large class and Lambert would've realized someone else lost a spot due to his grades. That would put some guilt on him as he'd let others in the class down.
