'14 JUCO TX WR Kameel Jackson (UT walk-on)

It seems so. I am kind of waiting to see what is actually going on. Class of '13 or '14? How many years to play? If they are Juco WRs for next year with the ones still left on our board, not sure how to feel about it.

I understand that Jackson is a '14 guy, but who is Jonathan Johnson? I keep seeing that he has committed as well and will apparently count toward thd class of '13 and be here in the summer.

he would count against this class. he fills one of the empty spots from the '13 class. therefore we only backcount to take 30 instead of 31

We still don't know if he will qualify. It sounds like if he can't come this year then they won't take him.

I don't think getting a Juco with 2 yrs. to play will have much impact on a kid who has 4 yrs. to play. JMO

I think Eddrick Loften changed his name and is giving it one more shot. I highly doubt Kameel (cuh-meel) Jackson will ever make it to UT. I hope I'm wrong the kid can play.

I highly doubt they would take his commitment this early if he was such a risk to qualify.

Truth. And can't believe ppl are going into meltdown mode. Not going to hurt with WRs like Kitt and Malone. Limited eligibility for these Jucos, and Johnson is 5'7",5'8" return man. Coaches are just trying to fill the holes on a limited WR corps

Can someone confirm the guy I posted is the kid we are talking about? If it is, his stats seem to show he is a RB. As a JR he had 251 carries for almost 1600 yards and 14 TDs. Maybe it's not the right guy.

Seems to be the case. Small, quick guys(5'8 170 4.4) are great in most conferences. The problem in the SEC is the DB's are 6'1 200lbs and run 4.4. Have to hope they know what they are doing.

Has it actually been confirmed that CBJ has taken his commitment? Kameel got kicked off Oklahoma went to ULM and dropped out of there a few weeks ago "to get his grades up" which makes no sense. He is certainly appears to be a huge risk but I'll trust the coaches if the commitment is actually confirmed.
