'14 JUCO TX WR Kameel Jackson (UT walk-on)

...and the blue team quarterbacks Johnny Manziel and Marcus Mariota were never heard from again....

MY GOD! Please tell me how to do that! I just read 5 or more pages on how to do it, did it exactly like they said, and it didn't work. Really pissing me off!

It doesn’t work with the embed code from YouTube. You have to grab the actual link. And it has to be http:// not https://

This is what it should look like:

Just don’t put a space in the first [youtube] and you get this:

Hey VN! Long time reader, first time poster. Born and grew up a little in Tennessee but moved to Texas where I attended junior high and high school.

I played for Arlington Martin, one of Arlington Sam Houston's (Kameel's school) rivals. We graduated the same year so I got to play against him.

Kameel is one of those slippery receivers who as soon as you take your eye off him he's open. His production was not overwhelming but he camped a bunch and did make plays for his school, just was not dominant. In his defense, his team was not very good despite having 3 other BCS conference commits.

Unfortunately for Kameel, he seemed to get in trouble quite often both when he was in high school and at OU. I hope he makes it to Knoxville, but to be honest I would be surprised if everything went as planned. Hoping his grades are in line and he stays out of trouble.

It's great to be here on VN!

From a poster on VQ. TIFWIW

FWIW, Swain is on the EA show this morning, and has coached Kameel at various camps, etc. Swain said Kameel would be our best receiver the day he sets foot on campus.

Swain said the receivers are still struggling to get route combinations down. CZA is shocked by how little the WRs know. Swain also said that Marquez North will be an immediate impact guy at UT.

Haha, considering I played center, no. He did burn us plenty his sophomore year, but our senior year he burned us once towards the end to set up a score and prevent our shutout.
Welcome to VN! Are you any good? We'll be a bit thin on the OL next year.

Good information hard to believe a HS team with Kameel Jackson at WR and Jamal Turner at QB could suck so bad. Of course Kameel was suspended part of his senior season which seems to be a very persistent pattern with him.

Haha, no I wish. I'd be a tad undersized especially considering I weigh 200 lbs now and have fully committed my focus to baseball since that season ended. Wish I could be at Rocky Top, but out of state tuition is just too much, but I'm playing small college baseball and happy here.

As for Jackson, I wonder if we'd stick him on the outside. Not ideal size but Swain's comments make you wonder about guys like Vincent Dallas, Bowles, and Jacob Carter. It'll be interesting to see how many receivers we'll have come fall of 2014 and who exactly they'll be.

Yes, but our district was relatively tough. Included schools like Arlington High (Luke Joeckel's school) and Arlington Bowie who churns out D1 talent every year. My school, Arlington Martin, went undefeated in district my senior year but we were stacked as well. We had 6 D1 signees my class and the junior class (2012) had 8 if you count FCS.

I hope Jackson cleans up his act because he never seemed to learn from his mistakes. I hope he does at this point, especially since he could help the Vols win games.

Glad Swain acknowledges North is a Top 3 receiver in the country coming out of high school and should be able to contribute given his skill set.

I didn't know why so many thought North was going to have to "figure" it out. He is so gifted.

Seems like our receivers got by on natural ability, and weren't taught much.

Imagine how the team can play when they know what they are doing!! Gonna bUTch slap them all.
