I hate to say this because it hurts, but we have wasted a lot of talent the last three years with Dooley here. It's water under the bridge now, but this isn't the first time we have heard that our players just don't understand basic fundamentals needed to compete at this high of level. The first interview I saw of this new staff was with Walls stating he learned more in a few days with Stripling then he did all season under the previous staff. Total waste of opportunities for guys like Walls, Smith, Miller, Couch, and McCullers (know he's only been here a year but still) on defense. Imagine how they would have been with CBJ and his staff here the past 3 years. CBJ develops talent. He puts players in drafts from schools that are considered average at best. I just hope they can learn all they can with the time they have left here, and then make it in the pros. Our seniors deserve so much for what they have been through here, and they are true VFL. They deserve our full support this year, and I just hope that no matter what happens W and L wise this season, we all can come together to support these guys for all they have done.

They're constantly working. It was great listening to CBJ's interview on the zone today. They hit on that topic quite a bit.

You really seem to know your stuff and I love the analysis...just one little thing...from previous posts to this one, you get Mahoney and Stripling mixed up...opposite line coaches...keep bringing the knowledge

Sorry to be buzz killington over here, but don't expect 4 stars for Kameel anytime soon. He hasn't played a snap of juco ball, so they can't really evaluate him based on his play at OU. Or I don't think they can at least. Just know we're getting a 4-star caliber athlete, whether he gets them back soon or never.

I thought the coaches went to watch him play and that's when JJ the '13 WR got an offer..? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Just wondering, but why couldn't they use his OU game film to aid in their evaluations?

Hmmm...that's a good question that I don't know the answer to.

How much did Sentimore and Mettenberger play is also a question that I can't really answer.

Their short lived careers at prior institutions all happened during my collegiate haze where following the Vols was all that I had time to do outside of school and extracurriculars.
