"Update on Matt Elam 2014 DT

Hey guys... i have posted a few times on here about one of my players. He will be a senior next year at John Hardin High School in Elizabethtown, Ky. He attended UKs junior day over the weekend and received an offer. He also is attending Alabama's junior day in two weeks and is getting heavy interest from several other schools. Kid is incredibly athletic for his size 6'5 340. I have sent his film in to the recruiting office several times at the email listed on UTSports... I have not heard a word back. My opinion, albeit a high school coach, whoever gets this kid gets a major steal. Matt loves the Vols. Wish they would show a little interest. Is there a way to get an email or contact directly to a coach?"

That's a big boy that moves really well for his size. Dominating his much smaller opponent o-line. He should attend one of UT's camps to really get noticed by them.

Just letting you know though, HS football is not that competitive in that area. Not much talent coming from there, most of it going to Louisville. Probably won't turn into much. Lived in E-Town for a year about 2 years back. Haven't changed my location yet.

There is no competition anywhere in Kentucky so doesnt matter where he lives. Unless a kid goes to Trinity who plays a national schedule they are SOL.

With the Alabama offer in hand to go with his previous offer from Kentucky, Elam has a pending trip to Tennessee in a couple of weeks.

“I know (Tennessee) has a great campus with great facilities. I don’t really know the coaches, so I’m looking forward to meeting them,” he finished.
