'14 KY DT Matt Elam

It appears all 5 of those will get the visits. The visit to UA is the last weekend before the dead period and he will announce at the all star game in Jan. If UK can hold on to the momentum it will be a tough fight to get him out of state. Most of his visits will be after his season so my guess is he will be at most UK games for UOVs.

In before "he did not have a commitable offer from bama".

And between UT and UA we SHOULD have the upper hand because of immediate playing time. That's not going to happen at UA, face it.

...which will make it all the more difficult when he picks Kentucky...at least that is what I'm afraid he will do.

Actually DT is the one spot UA does not have depth. Ivory will be a RS Junior, Lake(A true sophomore) and Richardson(True Freshman) are behind him. We play in a 4-3 a lot so UA needs atleast 4 interior guys in the rotation at all times. Elam being an EE would come in and be an impact as a true freshman and see the field just as early as he would anywhere else. UA just had incoming freshman D Paige(DT) go out on a medical before he saw the field and he was expected to see the field early. And Elam is better than the 2 interior guys we already have committed.

At UT he may be able to start and I do not know UTs depth at the position, but he would not redshirt at UA. He would play right away. If starting is the deal breaker maybe UA will be out, but in my opinion I do not see depth being a concern with him.

I think UK when they struggle this fall will probably have him rethink his interest in them. I think UT's season will go a long way with him and the fact he is not committing until Jan and the core of the UT class will recruit him along with staying together strong all season will bode well for UT in his recruitment. For that fact any recruit UT is after.

What you doing in Chapel Hill?

Why does everyone get so bent over TideWarrior?Granted his Bammer Bias comes out when he discusses recruiting, but he doesn't strike me as being over the top and I like the info he provides once you separate the proverbial "wheat from chaff". Have I missed something early on with him since I am relatively new to the forum?

Hang around for a little while and you'll see, more and more posters are choosing simply to refuse to respond to him and drying his well up. He gets off on it so responding only feeds the troll. Think about it. Would you go to a Bama board and be a douche for years on end for any other reason?

THIS^^^^^^^

I try not to engage him but sometimes it's too irresistible. If people would just ignore him he would go away.

I will do that in the future. I still don't understand why "fans" of other teams hang out on VN boards.

Notice it's supposed fans of teams that have had their way with us lately. When we start beating them, they'll fade back into the cesspools from which they came.

Can't happen soon enough as far as I am concerned.

Of course TW is biased. He's a fan. If you aren't biased, you aren't a fan.

I've always found him to be an interesting read, without total UA homerism.
