Big John was simply a lot leaner than the round mound of run stoppers, such as Mount Cody. No 6'7" defensive tackle can ever be accused of being small.

Negative. We need them both at DT. We will have Marcus Jackson at LG, next year, and Weisman will probably the the starting RG, so we are good there. However, with both Mo Couch and Big Mac leaving after this season, we not looking good at all, with the DT position.

We have Lambert, but he's not the big mauler you want on running downs. He's more of a big DE or DT on Passing downs. He might grow into a 3-down DT, but we need 3-4 DT's in this class.

You can never have too many solid offensive linemen. Besides, Jackson will be gone after next year anyways. I think he wants to play DT, but he is best suited for OG IMO. I think the coaching staff said something of the sort too

If we get another Big DT to fill that spot, no problem...but we have bigger needs at DT than OG.

Amazing to me how everytime we get a player our internet coaches on here want to move the guy to another position!! Just Amazing!

This guy really needs to drop the bad weight... Just from that video I would say he looked good just because his size... I'm still high on this guy because of the reports he dominated Alabamas camp.

I know I made a joke to a similar effect in the Barker thread about this, but honestly for this year only I don't think it really hurts UK. Stoops has not been selling this being a good team to recruits, he has been very upfront that UK is not a good football team right now. He is selling them on coming in and building up the program to new heights. Now if next years team struggles and doesn't show any improvement stoops recruiting is in a bit of trouble

Still though, Kentucky just lost to "Little brother" again. It's not like it's UF, UGA, etc. Even Kentucky should still have better players than WKU...

Normally would agree with this, but Willie Taggart was so much better than joker phillips I am not sure I do at this point. Taggart left a lot of talent for Petrino and I did not really see a team that was out coached so much as it was outclassed yesterday.

I can accept that argument. I still don't think it helps with recruiting.

WKUs recruiting the last 4 years ranks like 89th. They are not getting great talent. The key is developing and getting the guys to play above their talent. That's what butch is good at too. Taggart left well developed guys for the caliber school that they are.

Visiting UK vs UF this weekend.

Feel he leans toward UK but can see another school (like UT, Bama) stealing him. Seems to be very open to talk.

A writer for tOSU's 247 site is under the impression that Elam will be visiting this weekend. Someone should get in touch with Hubbs and/or PFort to see if there is any truth to this. Would be big to get him on campus.
