Jamie Nared scored 20 points and Bashaara Graves and Cierra Burdick recorded double-doubles as No. 14/14 Tennessee crushed Saint Francis (Pa.), 111-44, on Wednesday at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Congrats on the win girls. I wish that this same team that played tonight had shown up against UTC & Texas. Poor little St.Francis didn't know what hit'em.

Well, I guess we will be watching Burdick on the floor more, now that she had such a dominating performance against a top notch team.

I mean she's a gamer. lol They should allow her to do behind the scenes interview with the team, she'll love that.

Holly better not be gloating in the interview after the game. This win exposed nothing.

This is not a game to gloat about. I am elated we won this game the way we needed to. Let us not break out the marshmallows just yet, we need to beat Lipscomb like we should, then take on Rutgers and beat another big center who chose Rutgers over Tennessee. We will also have a tough time against Wichita as well. Only one more easy game and the truth will be told. We are now in the position that we must prove ourselves in the tough SEC. Holly if you can coach this year will give us a little more incite. I want you to be a success, however, this down low offense has not and will not work until you have more height. Develop your guard play and work on outside shooting. Pressure from the outside weakens the other team's inside defense.

So, for those who are unhappy with this performance tonight, what did you see wrong?

I think most of aren't happy just because the competition level gave us no reason to be. Besides that, 17 TO's including 4 dumb ones by our starting PG, a let-down leading to sloppy play with ?6-8 minutes left, missed layups by a bunch of different players, and poor FT shooting by our starting lineup that will hurt us in a real game.

I enjoyed the performance. Not sure we can take anything away from it though, but still impressive to beat any d1 team by almost 70 points. I liked how we essentially had two different "teams" subbing in and out. The set of players that started seems to be holly's more defensive minded players, while the second set are much more offensive. I liked it, but it seems like the harrison group had a much better offensive flow.

You can't rate this performance. Yawns, let's see how they perform against a real opponent. Rutgers will be a test.

(On what to take away from this game to translate to more difficult games)

Holly comments:

"Just playing hard. Chattanooga and Texas we didn't play hard. We had no fight in us. We got talent, but talent doesn't always win. You gotta play with heart. You have to be passionate about what you do. I thought those two games we were neither. Tonight we played with a lot of heart and we played hard. When you do those things, great things happen because you are talented. They are going to happen. If you go out there and think talent is going to win every time, it is not. It is not going to do it."

Is me or did anyone else notice that they weren't looking to get the ball inside the post to Moore, but when Izzy came in they forced it inside while she was triple teamed.

Yes, I did. Moore has shot the ball very well. Get her the dang ball!!

Harrison played 13 minutes against what was almost a high school team and had 6 turnovers. What gives? And she can't use the excuse that she'd missed time, first game back in two weeks. She's a senior. And while she's our best player, she, like others on the team, is prone to turnovers. I think it get back to Warlick's offense--wanting Harrison to score, and then when she gets doubled she loses the ball. It is good to get the ball inside, but Harrison and other bigs have to know if they are single covered or doubled--and they've got to kick the ball back outside quickly, if need be.

Izzy has always been a turnover machine. She and JJ are the worst offenders in the TO department.

She was unimpressive in the season opener before she got hurt as well, both shooting and turnovers.

Yes, mentioned it at game. Also made a lot of passes in where Izzy was moving, covered etc. Hard to explain, but the type of passes someone with a gimpy knee could reinjure more easily. Open to being undercut etc. Especially by a dirty or rough team..and IMO St. Francis had some dirty players. May be wrong on that, but looked like a lot of "iffy" plays.

That bulky black plastic metal looking thing on her left knee probably didn't help.
