I think Kevin Jones was #1 that year. If I recall, we had a great shot at him and he probably would have committed. Grades were a concern, and we needed a RB. We didn't want him scaring away others and not make it in. He gets in at VTech, has a good career, and gets drafted in the first round. Figures.

I was told that as of last night that Scott is torn between South Carolina and Tennessee and has struggled to make a final decision. Florida is completely out. Both South Carolina and Tennessee have been confident.

Speaking with two other sources close to Scott, they believe that he's currently leaning towards Tennessee, though, and said that Scott believes he could realistically start for the Vols next year. That remains a major factor in all of this. One thing worth pointing out is that Scott is one of the most private kids you'll come across and he plays things very close to the vest. Still, at this point, I (Wes) would lean towards him picking Tennessee, though I'll say if he's truly torn then the longer it takes for him to decide, then the more I could see the comfort level with South Carolina being a factor.
