Some serious mixed emotions with this one today.
IMO it means Paulk won't be in the class and I am afraid wont grey shirt either
Not room for all 3.
Jmo
I havnt read thru the pages, so sorry if I missed it somewhere but is his announcement going to be broadcast live anywhere?
Disagree 100%. With the exception of DE this position lacks quality depth more than any other
Paulk will end up a Vol IMO. If the staff was planning to take 3 RBs before Mouhon bailed, they sure can take 3 now. Paulk seems to be progressing well from reports. I think the kid will be a great player at Tennessee.

It will work out.
Honestly we need to piggyback depth every year at every position. In 2010 we started a freshman line and QB and thought we are gona be good in a couple years . Never happened. Stock up everywhere every year IMO.DT, imo, is the position where we lack quality depth the most. There's a huge question mark as to the quality of the starters themselves, let alone depth behind them. Yeah, we've got some commitments, but none strike me as "can't miss" prospects. We need some game-changers at the position. Hopefully someone steps up this year, but until it happens, it's still our weakest position IMO.
According to sources, Scott had multiple conversations with Steve Spurrier, Everette Sands and Deke Adams on Sunday. During those conversations he was both talkative and positive. He was to make his final decision last night and only planned to tell his mom and dad of his decision. He did not plan to tell the coaches from either school.
I would still say there is more smoke on the Tennessee side of things but I'm not sure anyone outside of his inner most circle really knows where he's going. Wes is on the way there to cover the announcement regardless of who he chooses. We will keep you posted.
Larry(LWS) said we needed to lose a few more. Why not Paulk? Everyone adopted this mercenary disposition with Mouhon saying it was okay if CBJ told him to look around as he would never compete here. The same might be said of Paulk. He already comes in at a disadvantage coming off an injury. Then he faces the possibility of getting recruited over next year. The inadversity of our depth chart seems to be much like what others argued Mouhon would face.
If you're going to look at this from a "screw what we told kids, we need to win now" POV, which some seem to have adopted, then losing Paulk makes sense. I don't think it's right, but I expressed the same opinion about Mouhon if our staff had asked him to go elsewhere only to be told "that's recruiting". Similar scenario here IMO so people need to be consistent on what is and is not okay in recruiting.
