The worst case scenario for Florida is a 7 or 8 win season. That will lock them into mediocrity while continuing to loose the best talent to FSU and Miami. You should be praying for 10 wins or 5 wins.

It seems like 2 out of Florida's big 3 are always on top and the 3rd wheel only has ok season's. I think Florida won't beat FSU for a while.

Florida is going to be a great job but idk who you guys expect to get. USCw had and Texas is have trouble finding a great solution. I don't think theres a coach available that could turn it around quick if muschamp has another losing season.

I agree that anything below 8 wins gets you a new coach, I think it will be Charlie Strong if he has a decent season without Bridgewater.

Muschamp took a team that was built for a spread option under Meyer and tried to install a new system with the wrong pieces. I think he'll do better with the new OC being that he can use those players, but what happens when he's fired and the next coach comes in with a roster of players built for a spread/prostyle, and then spread again? It's not something thats fixed over night, we know all about that business.

UF fans being excited about the new OC is going to work out like when we got all pumped when we hired Sal Sunseri. I have to admit that we were simply delusional at the time, as most UF fans are now.

Florida's issue is and remains Muschamp. When you've had Spurrier and Meyer as your coaches for most of the last 20 years, you can't settle for Muschamp.

Still think Scott winds up at SC. Hope I'm wrong, he looks like he's going to be fantastic.

whats? when did Pease have success as OC? He called plays one yr at boise then WM decided he could fix UF. Without looking back at his stops at Ky and Baylor. He sucked at all stops. Everyone knows Peterson is the playcaller there. All his Oc go on to better jobs and tank...Harsin at Tex Pease at UF see where Im going. Cant say it will be better with Roper but he's already an upgrade from Brent.

what makes you think UF will be much better next yr? Muschamp doesnt seem like the guy. It'll be 1st yr in a system they dont have the personnel for in the first place. incompetent in every way on offense to begin with. UF WRs looked worse than ours and have for 5 years. Sure you guys are good on defense but you were good on D this yr. doesnt matter when you score 10 pts a game. Driskel will be your QB. Nobody around that program seem to have any real confidence. everyone is jumping off the ship that is sinking.

Don't forget who made those hires, though. The man in charge. Bad decisions don't correct themselves if the same guy is making new decisions. We thought Dooley just made bad hires too, lol.

And you're forgetting one minor detail with Missouri... they're head coach is quite brilliant. Florida doesn't have that luxury. And do you seriously think Florida's players gave it their all right through the bitter end? Ummmm no.
