then one turns to two, and two turn to three

what makes you think UF will be much better next yr? Muschamp doesnt seem like the guy. It'll be 1st yr in a system they dont have the personnel for in the first place. incompetent in every way on offense to begin with. UF WRs looked worse than ours and have for 5 years. Sure you guys are good on defense but you were good on D this yr. doesnt matter when you score 10 pts a game. Driskel will be your QB. Nobody around that program seem to have any real confidence. everyone is jumping off the ship that is sinking.

again you throwing stuff out there. UF had 3 first yr starters at Wr only dunbar was returning in 2 deep...burton and Patton had 35+ catches and the group almost had 3 500 Rec with Driskel Murphy and Marty's son. That group was a bright spot imo. UF roster is full of spread kids...never should have tried pro-style.

Don't forget who made those hires, though. The man in charge. Bad decisions don't correct themselves if the same guy is making new decisions. We thought Dooley just made bad hires too, lol.

And you're forgetting one minor detail with Missouri... they're head coach is quite brilliant. Florida doesn't have that luxury. And do you seriously think Florida's players gave it their all right through the bitter end? Ummmm no.

Hahaha, people up here think Pinkel is not a good coach.

Only on VN can a recruiting thread turn in to a debate about whether Florida will or won't get better on offense next year.
Or where the best place is to eat some chicken...hot dogs....pizza...steak. And when they run out of food topics, it devolves further into jokes about flatulence. They some bored-arse individuals, I swear. Nothing better to do than debate about a dog's gas problems...in a recruit's thread. :loco:

I see one bad season with injuries, bad hire at OC OLC and ST. Mizzou makes me believe UF can turn it around.

I'll be shocked if Muschamp is still the coach in 2015.

From an outsider's perspective, this smells a lot like Zook 2.0.

P.S. - Zook era smells like bigfoot's di *k.

I think UF's roster is about 50/50. The biggest difficulty for you guys isn't going to come at the WR position but at the O-line and the QB position(early on). Your O-line will be young and new to the system and lets be honest you Qb isn't much of a passer at all.

I'll say this. UF is a train wreck right now. But, there is enough talent on the roster and enough built in advantages that UF could easily turn around and have a 10-11 win season next year. Would not shock me. Of course, neither would a 6-7 win season........which would get Boom fired.

According to the SC boards K. Salley is transferring and one of their other RBs is moving to DB. There goes the depth card we exclusively had going for us.

Carson might leave too.

I doubt he was ever scared of any of those names. I personally think he just like our staff and incoming class better.

I like this thread.

It's all about how we might add another stud running back and how much Florida sucks.

Good discussion! Keep it up!

It is also funny that Shurbert from 247 said that UT is in good shape with Scott and that he is even giving serious thought to flipping his CB pick from SCar to us. And he is one of the best in the business

I think HG intentionally skipped this post.
I wont judge him on yr 1 with the mess urbz left behind. Won 7 games and a bowl had a top 5 recruiting class then he follow that up with 11 wins and top 3 class. Not sure what you want more from a HC coming into a place like UF after Meyer went 6-6 the yr before. This past season sucked Im not asking for his head bc of injuries and holes in roster left bc of bad takes or lack of development. This year was a cluster fk but jmo he can turn it around.

Come on, HG... Do you seriously think that Vol fans are sympathetic to Florida and the apparent mess that Urban left behind?? There was no greater mess than what Butch inherited from Fulmer's final years, the Kiffin escapade, and the Dooley train wreck. Cry me a river! Don't come in here with that garbage! Muschamp inherited plenty of talent on that roster his first year.

When did he ask for anybody's sympathy? I know everybody in here (me included) wants to believe they really are in the beginning of a downward spiral but HG is right, if they get someone in there to turn the offense around even moderately (big if at this point) they could immediately go back to being an above average team and winning 8+ games next year.

I actually agree with your assessment. UF has too much talent on campus to suck like Tennessee has in recent years.

Our best hope is that the Florida players have quit on CWM the way they quit on Chizic at Auburn.

he went into that yr with 66 or 67 players on ships. Yeah Meyer left Reed Demps Rainey and some talent on D but no much else. It was the same team he won 6 games with. Also someone ask about his record so I answered.

Exactly. I don't think they have much of a chance to be dominant or contend for a title or anything but I don't see multiple losing seasons for them either. Unless of course their offense continues to suck out loud even after the new OC comes in, which I hope is the case.
