Four star RB Derrell Scott, who was offered by #UF this morning, wastes no time setting up a visit to Gainesville http://florida.*******************.asp?fid=685&tid=169912044&mid=169912044&sid=882&style=2
If he's 1/10th of what Cutcliffe is then you're right. Question is, was he completely running the offense at Duke, or did Cut have "input" like Peterson did at Boise? #IllHangUpAndListen
I'll be shocked if Muschamp is still the coach in 2015.
From an outsider's perspective, this smells a lot like Zook 2.0.
P.S. - Zook era smells like bigfoot's di *k.
I wont judge him on yr 1 with the mess urbz left behind. Won 7 games and a bowl had a top 5 recruiting class then he follow that up with 11 wins and top 3 class. Not sure what you want more from a HC coming into a place like UF after Meyer went 6-6 the yr before. This past season sucked Im not asking for his head bc of injuries and holes in roster left bc of bad takes or lack of development. This year was a cluster fk but jmo he can turn it around.

that sinking ship thing again..Ron one bad season bro. Thats the great thing about it Will doesnt win he's gone and UF is best job on market. Win win. Hell what happens if Vols win 5 or less next season? Think Butch makes it?

Can someone explain to me how a number of kids like Florida when they didn't grow up there or have any apparent connection? I don't understand this...
That'd be like a kid who grows up in Florida, is looking at UF and LSU, but mentions that he liked TN growing up. I think I'm just too much of a die hard TN homer to understand
I'll say this. UF is a train wreck right now. But, there is enough talent on the roster and enough built in advantages that UF could easily turn around and have a 10-11 win season next year. Would not shock me. Of course, neither would a 6-7 win season........which would get Boom fired.

When these kids were growing up, UF was winning NCs
Vol fans felt much the same way once. Think what you will, but our tradition is nothing to sneeze at. The General is still seen as if not the best, one of the best defensive coaches of all time. You can argue that recruits don't look at things like that, and I'd mostly agree, but most great coaches are aware of the great coaches of the past. What makes them great is their intensity for the game, which makes them students of the game.
But let's put UT aside. USC should have been able to make a homerun hire. They settled on Sark. Hell, before that they were forced to swoop in for Kiffin, but at least then they had the excuse of looming sanctions. And USC is a much more attractive job than UF. Cali puts out the same kind of talent as Florida, and for all intents and purposes, USC is the powerhouse program of the state. Yes, they have to face off against Stanford and UCLA, but that's less daunting than UF's fight against FSU and Miami.
And Texas would definately be considered a better job than UF. That tree hasn't shaken out yet, but it'll be interesting to see what happens.
UF could be the best open job next year, but recent history hasn't supported that really meaning a damn thing. My advice, don't get overconfident that things can only get better. As long as you've been on this board, you should know that's just not true.
