From Pughe:

"Big fan of Derrell, was great in the state title game. He's been producing since his freshman year and for arguably the best team in the state. Havelock has won three straight state titles. They have IMO the top 2016 prospect in the state, and they have a 2015 WR that has at least 10 BCS offers. Great pipeline of a school. Lawing is big time connected there and brought in Corey Robinson at South Carolina. Scott's best friend is Pharoh Cooper however, who played a ton as a true freshman at South Carolina this year. His other close friend Kendal Vickers is at Tennessee. At the beginning of the process, Scott really wanted to play in the state of Florida. FSU and Jay Graham was giving South Carolina a run but FSU backed off and that allowed NC State to come in and sell him on being the hometown hero. The bad news is that Florida waiting so long to offer but to their credit they were upfront with Scott and his coaches and said it was because they had Dalvin Cook committed. I have a hard time seeing him not choose South Carolina but having an official is all you can ask for if you are a Gator fan."

I think its a little disconcerting that he's taking an vist to Florida. But, I have faith in Butch that we can close him. These last few weeks we have had the slight edge over South Carolina.

Ron,where you at?Need to hear your take on Scott's ov to UF.

I'd prefer he didn't take the visit but I doubt he'll be picking UF this late in the game after being ignored (no matter the spin UF uses). But it is recruiting so anything is possible.

I think he's going to be a Vol.

Agreed. I think the in-home visit will seal the deal and Butch will win this battle.

I have mixed emotions on scott.

IMO if we get him Paulk will then be asked to grey shirt. I am not a huge fan of that

Paulk isnt going to be asked to Greyshirt.Especially the way he is healing and could possibly play this season.

If you read the quotes from scott and before that williams it leads me to think differently.

They are quoted as saying we are taking 2 RBs in the class

In all seriousness, and I know this is just spite talking(hey, I've had a bad day), but nothing would amuse me more than to see UF's recruiting class fall to crap. Probably not gonna happen, but it would bring a pretty damn big smile to my face.

JMO, UF has a chance because of Cook jumping ship. However, I don't think he ends up at UF.

My guess is USCe, but I think UT is right there. I'm giving USCe the benefit of the doubt because they've recruited him the hardest and longest.

Don't ever ignore a prospect who is being recruited by a team for which he is a fan. This is more serious than many believe.

Spot on.

How often have we seen, especially with Auburn and Alabama, a player have other teams leading, or even committed, and they get that offer, and "Maybe I'll take a visit."

Three seconds after landing on campus... "Committed to _______"

Come on, HG... Do you seriously think that Vol fans are sympathetic to Florida and the apparent mess that Urban left behind?? There was no greater mess than what Butch inherited from Fulmer's final years, the Kiffin escapade, and the Dooley train wreck. Cry me a river! Don't come in here with that garbage! Muschamp inherited plenty of talent on that roster his first year.

And this year was muschamp's second year. No excuses if you ask me. Too much talent to be that mediocre. Florida is a job that should be able to be flipped around extremely easy.

It's not that they're fans of the Barn or Bama, but they are fans of Benjamin Franklin.
