TCU by 17. Griffin will have to go Denard for them to win. I think everyone fell way too in love with Baylor last year based on that 7-2 start. Don't forget their defense allowed 47 PPG over the final four games, all losses.

They won several close games, which inflated their record. They only lost four starts to injury (the second-lowest amount in CFB and a clear indicator of good luck). Oh, and they lost their top five tacklers from last year's defense.

If they allowed 47ppg over the final 4 games, could be a good thing they lost their 5 leading tacklers. Maybe the guys replacing them will do a better job of covering people and shorten drives.

This. Certainly not an inspiring first series on defense. Even though they lost quite a bit on both sides, they're still far more talented than Baylor.
