Talked about how he destroyed Shane Matthews at UF in '92. Said that must be the reason he didn't offer TKJr. haha

Talking about how stars mean nothing and you outwork a five star to be better.

Said left decision completely up to him and make his own legacy. Said Kelly Jr is already saying he would be better than dad. Also said he wanted to commit early to have a stress free senior yr.

Said Kelly Jr knows a ton of recruits and plans on recruiting. Was raving about Butch and said he was going to turn it around no doubt. Butch brings a swagger.

Awesome news!

I'm not surprised about what he said about Dooley, seems like a lot of other former players felt the same way.

Starting to like Butch more and more!

Here is one of the main differences I have noticed between Butch and Dooley:

Dooley was all about titles and process - very CEO mentality - could only relate to other high-level individuals.

Butch is straight blue-collar. He is a working man. No task is too small for him - he empties his own office trash if it needs it. Dooley would have written a formal letter to the head of the janitorial department demanding a more efficient trash emptying process.

And to be honest, I don't mind guys like Dooley, but you have to win to be like that. He was trying to be Saban without Saban results - doesn't work.

I much prefer guys like Butch. He will stop and say hi to you in the hallway before you can say hi to him. He's just a good guy with a ton of passion for Tennessee.

Despite CUM and some others, there are a few yankees that we can appreciate. CBJ is near the top of the list. My daughter's family does rank higher though. There must be something about that area. She lives about 35 miles from CBJ's home town.

I get what you're saying here, but it was more than that. From everything I've heard post-Dooley firing, he was just a prick. Made them renovate his new office to the tune of $2M to change the view, add a sauna/hot tub, and build his desk up so he could look down on visitors to his office. Demanded a specific type of pen at all events. Etc... That's beyond CEO, that's a rich kid entitlement attitude that's obnoxious even when you win, but ruins the atmosphere of the program when you lose.

As a disclaimer, I was one of the "give him time" crowd.
