Commits don't get a "family" tag?

My guess would be a signed LOI gets the family tag since commits can change their mind before then and no longer be family. Makes sense actually, would be a slap in the face to give them "family" status and have them go else where. No matter how much of a lock they are it's still all about signing that LOI.

Congrats to my high school teammate linebacker Brant Mitchell for picking up his first offer from the University of Tennessee! #GBO

We no doubt all previously understood that, at the same time some could interpret that to say... We don't trust you, etc... You get what I'm talking about

Could be, fair enough if that's the case

Class of 2015, won offensive mvp of the division II class A championship this past year

Is there a thread on him? I never seem to find it when searching. The search function for players is a little whacked. Usually just shows old threads where the player may or may not have been mentioned in the body. Wish there was a prospect only search function

I hear ya, and I understand completely, but you still have to prove you're family and not just say it. I believe TK Jr. is ALL VOL all the way and don't doubt him at all! But I have no problems waiting for signed LOI to get "family" status.

I can't find one if there is. Just googled him to figure out who he was, apparently played fullback and ILB this past season

10 4 bra, didn't mean that the way it sounded. Just wouldn't hurt IMO to put family on the commits because that would make them think twice before forsaking us! Lol

Actually think that is a typo, as there is a picture that has him winning the defensive mvp award and then that one which has offensive mvp. Seeing as he only had 2 carries, I'm guessing the defensive MVP is right.

Photo: Webb's Brant Mitchell (43) smiles as he heads to accept his defensive MVP award after the Spartans' win over the ECS Eagles during the Div. II Class A championship game at the TSSAA 2012 BlueCross Bowl at Tennessee Tech University in Cookevill

Good detective work there. Journalist exposed for shoddy work.

I think what's interesting is TKjrs uncle said 3 months ago at Cherokee that there was no way UT was where his nephew would end up playing. He said Stanford and other schools was were he was looking it .

It could go to show two things.
1. His uncle was not in the loop , but unlikely given how close that family is.
2. CBJ really recruited well during his visit, which is evident by his fathers comments .

Either way, huge get , and complete 180 from the Dooley bull**** we all have suffered with .
