I love the ones that just decide and commit without a lot of fanfare as opposed to the hat and table crowd. I know it's a big deal for kids, but that media day spotlight for teenagers is just a bit over the top. Props to current big time commits that skip the bs and get to work. You will make us/me proud for years to come.

In my limited experience, FS is more of a "center fielder" type player that can cover a lot of ground in the pass defense. As for SS, their skill type is more set toward run support, although they are still able to cover pretty well in pass defense.

Depends on the defense. That would have been a fairly accurate generalization not too long ago but many teams are moving to where they want their safeties to almost be interchangeable.
