Ahh I don't anything comes of it. He's just one of those guys that you have to keep calling every 2-3 days and keep checking in on them. I think he'll be a Vol when it's all said and done.

Sorta similar to Carr last year.

I'm excited to see this kid play this week. His motor and mean streak remind me of Ndomukong Suh's (not comparing him to Suh as a player really, just saying that he shares those two attributes). He doesn't try to tackle opponents: he tries to make them feel pain.

I'm pretty sure he will not play this week, due to a broken hand that he is recovering from that occurred in his last HS game.

Interview with scout:

-Hand is healing well

- Recruiting Andrew Williams. Had a good bond with him.

- Excited to play at UT with his friends

- Enjoying hanging with the commits

- Thinks Butch is doing an amazing job recruiting

- Big Charles bombed the video at the end and started singing "We Are the World" and then switched to "Rocky Top. "

Derek Barnett headed to Orlando hoping to find a way to play in the Offense-Defense Bowl. But, with no way to make sure he wouldn't injure his hand again he was out for the game.

"It was hard watching them play today but it was still a good week. It wasn't a regular season game or anything, just an all-star game," Barnett said. "If it was a regular season game I would have played. There's no point in playing today, though."

Barnett said it was nice to have friends and current Vol commits around to help keep his spirits up during the week.

"It made it easier. I got to hang out with all the guys I know and that was the best part about it," Barnett said.

This is what I said in the recruiting forum. My favorite number, and love to see a big nasty DE or DT blowing up shiz in the backfield wearing my favorite number lol. Either way I'm hoping he is animal no matter the number.

I'm thinking he could be a pretty good, quick DE.

Bringing the Heat 31VFL, love seeing UT mentioned with LSU when it comes to DE. Hendrix and Barnett both, I think, will be quick DE, and will be in the backfield like it's their job....Oh wait. It is

Looks like a Candace Parker dunk to me :) lol jk. Impressive hops for a guy his size (like 265?).
