Rated as the No. 3 PS QB on Rivals and the No. 4 PS QB on 247 (both are higher than Zach Gentry), but strangely his offer lists don't match up to that ranking IMO. Not terrible by any means, but he doesn't have the kind of offers Gentry or some other guys do. Best offers besides us are maybe ASU, Cal, Nebraska, and Penn State. Weird.
Anyway, he can chuck it pretty good, definitely not short on arm strength, but there's something funky about his delivery that jumps off the screen at you. I need to watch some more film but it looks to me to be almost a Tyler Bray-style sidearm thing going on. He looks good running the option for a PS guy, though, so no Bray comparisons in that department. Not real fast, but he can pick up yards particularly in redzone situations. He usually scrambles to throw instead of scrambling to run, if that makes sense. Also, much like Bray, he's not afraid to make some really dicey throws into double and triple coverage. He's a gunslinger, but it shows faith in his receivers.
Should be interesting to see where this goes.
