Luke Stampini update

posted last week that former Florida QB commit Sheriron Jones had not heard from anyone or received any visits the last week of the contact period.
Tennessee has him on ice with two quarterbacks set to enroll early and unsure if they will even have room for him in the class come NSD. USF is starting to kick the tires on Jones and likely tries to get him on an official visit in January.

"IMO Bingo. Evidence CBJ is a dirty, dishonest SOB (JMO). He didn't even suspend Hurd for underage drinking.

Some games dictate wwhat you do on offense but that many a game on average I cant see happening. Especially if we have depth and talent at RB and playmakers at receiver all over the field. Believe thats why they recruited guys like Dormady and others who are pass first , good passers and can make all the throws but still can be productive on zone reads. But they bring in too many high profile receivers to not utilize them. Jmo

I get what your saying. Keep in mind how many offensive plays we run. There are enough snaps to spread the ball around. Jmo though.

Receivers will not care how many offensive plays you run if you do not have a QB who can accurately get them the ball when they are open. Then you will see a drop off in WR recruiting.

Definitely. With the amount and type WR's we recruit tells me a guy like Dormady who is a pure passer and has a great arm that can run pretty good is exactly the QB they want. Jones and Francois as well. Both are labeled DT QB's but can both sling it around and are pass first QB's that can run too. Really why I can't see JJ sticking at QB. He could end up a good passer but I don't see them giving him that much time to do it and move him to safety, where most experts see him excelling at and potentially playing at the next level. Especially with Dormad, (Jones or Francois) possibly and Kendall the next yr.

Don't think anyone would go nuts. Gibson already said UT didn't want him at QB, I would love him to be a Vol and play WR or wherever they wanted him to play but he wasn't gonna play QB. Said that was the reason he didn't committ to TN. Ohio St says they will let him play QB.

Oh no doubt but with the WR's we recruit and how many they want to have being a good passer is essential in this offense.

Pretty sure they already know he is. Supposed to be announced after the Bowl game, atleast based on several different reports. But we know how internet reports are. But no way they even talk to or bring in another QB if they didn't already know. I think if he hadn't graduated he wouldn't but now he can and play immediately.

I hope Nate has a great life because he seems to be a really good kid but he's nothing more than a warm body at the QB position. You have literally no chance of winning with him starting.

Agreed. He seems like a great kid and wish him the best but that's exactly what he will be. I don't know what schools are options for him in Florida or wherever but hope he gets a shot somewhere else. Wonder about UCF, USF, Flor Int, Flor Atl or even South Ala.
