'15 FL QB/WR/DB (anything he wants) Torrance Gibson PART II

Let's take the kid and not worry about where he plays yet. The guy has talent and he has a skill set that could be useful in some capacity to our football team, whether it be under center, on the outside, or in the secondary. He's got potential and let's give him some credit. He has really pulled back on the Twitter junk AND while he didn't play QB the whole time he was at The Opening, he did workout there some and it showed me is definitely trying to improve. Personally, he seems like a good kid, just going through the growing pains of dealing with a lot of attention. He'll grow up under CBJ. Go Vols.

Obviously if CBJ felt TG were worth the risk he would take him. It sure looks like that is not the case and the issues are more than his talents can overcome. There is a recruiting profile kids need to fit into to be a Vol. Can't fault the staff for sticking to their guns.

There is still no proof that either there are "issues" surrounding Gibson or that our coaches have decided Gibson is a definite "no take."

So seeings how TG is not set to decide until October, how is it that you know CBJ won't take him? Or is this your usual Gibson hate/conjecture?

I'd call it common sense. :dunno:

Consider for just a second that IF Jefferson does decide on OSU, there would be a spot to take TG at WR. Instead, CBJ extends an offer to the Cager kid just in case. If you're paying attention, some things in recruiting are very clear.

Maybe CBJ gave an offer to Cager because he is a WR. TG is wanting to be a QB so that makes sense. Regardless of what you want to believe, there is no guarantee that JJ gets a shot at QB. He may, he may not. I have said all along that CBJ recruits and sends offers as insurance policies and you have said that's not true. Now you back peddle like crazy. Nothing in recruiting is clear. That's obviously something you don't understand.

If JJ were not going to get a shot at QB, he would not be a Tennessee commitment IMO. Seeing he is, tells me all I need to know.

Mark my words...If Gibson goes to Auburn, he will be a monster after a couple of years in Malzahn's system. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

That's what I'm afraid of lol and he would have plenty of options to give the ball to. Didn't auburn land a 5* reciever for 2016

... but if it does happen then let Malzahn use that monster to eat Nick Saban's lunch.
