If TG isn't promised a shot at QB at any of his top schools, does he look at other schools, or does he commit to his favorite school (Rocky Top!) as an ATH?

At least to me it's looking like UT would not take him at WR either. Since he does seem to want to play QB, I'd imagine UCF may still be a possibility. He is planning a trip to OSU and with them not having a 2nd QB in the fold yet, maybe that's an option. I do get the feeling that the OSU trip is more TG wanting to visit than OSU wanting him to visit.

Just saw an interview with some Michael Felder guy on Bleacher Report where he asked Torrance Gibson who the top schools are RECRUITING HIM AT QB. He immediately answered first with Tennessee!

Other schools he named were Auburn Miami Arizona and UCF. Said in quote "I'm not an athlete, I'm a QB"

He has about 9-12,000 UT fan twitter followers still holding out hope. He's not going to let that number drop to 3,500 total followers before he has to. Even if he already knows UT is not taking him at QB or any other position. Kid knows how to play the game.

I just have a feeling he's gonna end up being somebody's Cam Newton...if we dont land him i see us regretting it ultimately.

Say what you guys want but I still believe CBJ wants this kid at QB because you don't pass on this kind of talent.

I doubt it. Cam Newton's just don't pop up everyday. The fact that TG has to keep repeating he is a QB and not and "ATH" tells me a lot of coaches/people who see him throw vs play WR are telling him otherwise. Also consider that AU has Queen committed and are pushing hardest for Francois as their 2nd guy. That tells me even AU is trying to go to more a passing threat QB than a run 1st guy. Also explains how they are selling better quality WRs on coming there as well.

Texas A&M commit Daylon Mack was interviewed on bleacher report about some of the uncommitted 5* recruits and the first thing he said was Torrance Gibson will be a Vol. There is no doubt in my mind that Torrance plays QB in college. His athleticism makes up for everything else, and judging by his film he has the arm strength and accuracy as well to be a great QB. It seems that Torrance and Kahlil are starting to be really good friends and I see TG being a Vol.

Gotta give it to you Leb. I've been lurking for months and my god you won't back down a smidge that the Vols might just be after the kid. Interview after interview this kid says he wants to be a QB, continues to put it out there that we are #1 on his list as of now AND are in fact going after him as a QB, our own recruits are recruiting him, and yet still...no way, not a prayer he ends up in Orange.. It's all a big show for Twitter followers. We've already told him no. We don't have space. He has issues. On and on. I love the steadfast approach.

P.S. I love the emphatic, factual-toned, no-way statements, followed by the IMO. Hysterical to watch your rebuttals progress as the thread blows up day by day.

Keep up the good work.

He very well may go to UCF/Miami/ tOSU and ball out.

But I feel pretty confident that QD will show out, and JJ has the potential (and those around him say he has the drive and work ethic) to be a complete stud. I had/have my concerns about JJ. But since we landed QD, I think we will be good to go. So JJ is just icing on the cake.

I just call it like I see it.

Some folks just get star struck and decide to ignore everything else. IMO there is a lot more saying TG to UT is not even an option now vs it making sense.

TG was just asked who is recruiting him at QB and he does not list OSU. He says he is not considering schools who are not recruiting him at QB. He is scheduled to visit OSU this weekend. Wait...What? Exactly.

You are judging film wrong. He is not very accurate according to reports. A lot of the commits are good friends, that doesn't mean that all will play together.
