I could easily be wrong here, but I really don't think butchna was really belittling you. Its just his style, and I guess the people that get rubbed the wrong way by it don't understand it. I have been the butt of some of his posts before but I still find it hilarious and read it as butchna not being hateful. I actually like the variety in here, keeps it from being Vandymandia where everybody has to toe the line. just my two cents.

october 20th can not get here fast enough, there is way too much pent up aggression about this recruitment for it to be healthy. IMO the school gibson commits to will likely not be the one he signs with. (for whatever reason)

I swear, I've been posting for nearly 4 years and lurking for about two years before that and I have never seen the division over a recruit like this. I know some stir the pot, but there are a couple here that literally just don't like a 17 year old kid who is interested in our favorite school. And a lot of that hate is based completely on hearsay.

I don't think he comes here and haven't for a while, but the vitriolic attitude against him is sad.

Agree. I still cannot understand why some do not want the best players to come to UT. Like him or not, its a fact that Gibson is an ultra talented kid with huge amounts of potential.

I don't think anyone here hates him. Its just that those that want him at all cost (like running off committed players for him), because he's a 5*, keep throwing up how all the other recruits and insiders are liars and TG's word is gold and that forces the others to come back with all the bad things that have been pointed by the reporters about TG. Its mostly just posting points to prove their argument and not talking him down because they hate him personally.

Some don't like him as a QB but thats completely different.

It's my opinion that the "1QB 1 Ath" that we have committed has just as much potential. I like the fact that they committed early, to show leadership and recruit for their team. How many top QB's are still uncommitted at this point in the game?

If they had as much potential people would compare them to future college HOFs and past Heisman winners. I never hear that about the other two. They compare Gibson to and say he has the potential of players like that all the time.

It's hard to hold that against Dormady. As a sophomore, he was pretty danged good.

Delicious...:lol:...and I wasn't even trying!...took my family to the Stockyards and fought traffic valiantly, having no idea GOLD was being panned! :good!: Preshate the effort explaining your position and idealogy... Little long...both in words and wind...but the passion and butthurt shone through loud and clear! :clapping: I believe most of your discontent could be attributed to inexperience on this board and your hall monitor demeanor. As you mature and learn the inside humor and terms, you can make the informed decision on joining in the fun and back & forth...or going the humorless route and criticize and disparage those that don't follow your dogma. Seriously thanks for the props...disagreements don't have to get personal and you along with Tennkook prove that you can get sideways with some on here and still emerge friendly...this is a big sports bar and different personalities clash at times. Sourmix will have lots of support for nixing me...Heck he had six likes at last count for that rant, but he's wasting too much of his life , if he spends more than six seconds bemoaning my contributions. My position is clear on TG...I don't think he's a 5 star PLAYER...either as a QB or WR. He IS a high level raw athlete who would need to learn to be a receiver and unlike JJ he would be a disaster on defense IMO...we need linemen and depth and don't have the luxury of taking receivers or QBs that need remedial training...that's how I feel so that's what I post. If Butch ends up taking him and he become a great WR or QB, I'll cheer for him and that'll be it. No science involved. :yess:

My problem is I keep forgetting how important you are...when I visit my family in Crossville, I keep mistaking the dude with the glowing aura for Jesus...visiting the 127 Yard Sale. :angel:
