After OSU took Burrows at QB, TG dropped them down his list further. IMO Oscar Meyer was selling TG on being "the guy" for them. Maybe it had something to do with the suspension talk, as it happened right after that all took place. I felt TG felt lied to when OSU took Burrows. TG then later said OSU had not been contacting him much at all and that is why he dropped them down his list. OSU looks to be considering other 2nd QBs and TG is not in that top group IMO. He apparently made and cancelled a few visits there already. IF he does visit Columbus, maybe OSU is back in play.

As of now, I think he's a Cane.

Torrance Gibson vs. the defense

That might sound odd, but depending on where he plays throughout the week, he could have a dramatic effect on a defense. Gibson is listed as an athlete for this event, meaning he could line up just about anywhere, including quarterback. However, we feel he will see the bulk of his duties at wide receiver. He would prefer to play quarterback, but he does not play QB on his seven-on-seven team and this is an environment that could expose his deficiencies under center much like it did with Tyrone Swoopes two years ago. We feel Gibson could be special as a wide receiver and needs to devote the bulk of his time to developing there. Gibson, along with George Campbell, could be the two most gifted skill players in this event. If Gibson is smart he will use this week to learn and develop the little nuances of the wide receiver position, which will only make him a greater threat down the line.

We know a bit about what he can do at QB, so it will be good to get some solid info on how he performs at other positions against the nation's best.

Like Jennings, most believe he will begin his college football career under center.

Well we didn't take 3, that's for sure. :) That was a rough year for RB recruiting. We only got Jabo, then he did not actually count.

That's actually from 2 years ago. When we were only able to get Jabo late after passing on some very good options early on. Of course the firing of Dools and hiring of CBJ played into it a bit.

I wasn't really referring to the year, just that the comment is similar to the QB comments... We won't take 3, don't wait long to commit, etc.

So his fans on here wants him at UT to play QB, but he does not even play QB with his teams 7 on 7 tournament? :crazy:

He played QB at the recent IMG 7v7 tournament.

Did you miss the part of the article that stated he could play several different positions - including QB & WR - during the week of The Opening?

I have seen it said he played QB at the 7v7. Has there been anything posted as to how he did, how he looked, or anything? I had not seen any if so.
