Without a doubt. Are you not following his recruitment? I mentioned why IMO UT still "leads" for TG. It's nothing more than he has not taken any other visits since naming UT his "leader". He names another school w/out visiting and all a sudden the "rumors" he was trying so hard to squash on twitter a little over a month ago are all true. He can't name OSU his new leader as he has not visited there. He can't name AU his leader as they are pushing for at least 2 other DT QBs right now and IF UT is backing off, maybe the whole rumor is true and both AU, and OSU have as well. He could name the Canes his leader but then he has likely played his last card 6-7 months before he wants to announce with his guy Bartow sitting center row. I doubt he does that this early. IMO he is kind of stuck with UT "leading" till he can visit elsewhere after the Opening. JMO

That sort of proves my point. How do we know he's not a top priority? After all, CBJ intentionally takes time with TG. CBJ is in a tough spot, I think mainly bc he doesn't want to put all of his eggs in the TG basket and then be left out to dry (by some fickle kid) come NSD. Sound familiar? It should. It happened to UT for 3 years during DD's tenure. I love Coach Jone's approach.

Why do I feel he is not a top priority any more? Because the "UT has moved on" is coming from way too many other places for me to buy the TG fans claims that UT is still all in on the kid. Just how I see it.

How would he be left high and dry? He has 2 great QB options committed. Taking 3 QBs is just not a normal thing at all. IF Jefferson commits we have 2 great outside WRs and Bruce possibly in the slot. I get the *'s side of it. I also think at times the *'s are not worth the headache. IF Jefferson commits, IMO we are done at QB and WR and that means NO Gibson in this class.

I meant high and dry in the sense that IF CBJ would have held off on taking Dormady's commitment to wait for TG to commit. Earlier in the process Gibson was a highly wanted DT QB prospect viewed by most of VN. I just think there has been wayyy too much communication and "extended" visits between TG and Tenn to say that he isn't a valued and wanted prospect in our signing class.

So you don't feel there is any way these supposed "issues" could actually have teams backing off as it appears they may be? Recruiting changes from day to day. I agree TG was a kid the staff was pushing for early on. It just looks to me that things have changed. Sometimes the *'s just don't add up.

when in recruiting does the stars match up?...espn and other (if any) only show the high lights..(Jose is my friend)..

Actually we have 1 QB and 1 ATH committed. You cannot seem to get that straight. No guarantee that Jennings will be a QB.

dont think hes truly selling shat like his hs coach is trying to just so he can get a cut from the U.

I think UT still leads but its not a wide margin like before. If he takes all his visits and doesent name a leader this board is going to be very interest

What "issues" are you referring to Leb? And are we 100% sure there ARE actually issues? ALL recruits come with a certain degree of risk. This guy is worth that risk IMO.

Good post LV. I'm pretty sure he will be a Vol and be given every opportunity to compete at QB. If for some reason that doesn't work out, he can compete at several other positions. Bottom line is he will be on the field, very early in some capacity.

The same ones that were reported by multiple sources a while back. You know, right around he time that it looks like several schools backed off him and started taking other QBs. Yes, I get that TG claimed on twitter those situations "did not happen exactly how others were saying" and some on the board ran with "well, then none of it ever happened". Looking at it without TG is a 5* world beater glasses on, obviously there are concerns and several schools don't like what they see as far as off the field stuff goes.

We'll see what happens. I'm expecting ore twists and turns with this one. Probably not so much involving UT, but it will be interesting. With the Canes taking 2 QBs in 2014, Lawson so far in 2015, and Allison already committed for 2016, will the instate power even take him? Is he falling to UCF?
