I try and look at things as you mentioned at face value. IF JJ were to get moved from QB to S, THEN you look to replace that spot. Stacking players tied to "what if" scenarios IMO is a sure way to hurt yourself in the long run. QD & JJ are being recruited and signed as QBs. IMO that is what I count them as and roll with that. Both stick, you focus on signing just 1 in 2016. JJ moves early after getting to campus and you maybe consider 2 QBs in 2016.

You also have to factor in that 2 could leave if 3 QBs are signed. Not smart either.

Especially if they have been told a 3rd would NOT be taken.

Of course the discussion then becomes IF both JJ and QD are EE guys and a spot does open late, does the staff try and take TG with the other 2 already locked in. Hopefully the staff are smarter than that.

It played out that way with Riley Ferguson n NSD, but I tell myself that situation was a little different as they were just hired. Still would rather they told Riley right up front they were going to try and take a 2nd QB IF they could get the right guy. Dobbs ended up being that guy.

With TG it could very well be the "issues" and not so much 2 QBs committed that keep him from being a Vol. Much the same way OSU took Burrows at QB when the "issues" talk started to come out, but that is also when the UT offer went out to Dormady and he committed.

If he wants to commit, there is no way we turn him away. You make room for players as versitle and athletic as TG. And no one is set in stone until they sign....so we can't say for sure that we'll even keep Jennings and Dormandy even if we don't land Gibson.

No he did not. He said he didn't think we were the favorite. Since then Gibson has reiterated several times that we in fact do lead. People keep making up stuff people supposedly said instead of listening to what they really said.
