Taking 3 QBs at face value with a limited number of scholly's is not smart. Factor in that 2 of them can line up on either side of the ball at several positions...Genius!!
I am damn proud to be a redneck myself. It was rednecks that built this country. Better a redneck than a snob.Bunch of grown men piling on a 16 year old. Puff your chest out and be proud of that instead of letting a very gifted (very young kid) athlete live a dream that we all wiffed on. Hope we get TG. Later Rednecks!
You also have to factor in that 2 could leave if 3 QBs are signed. Not smart either.
Especially if they have been told a 3rd would NOT be taken.
Of course the discussion then becomes IF both JJ and QD are EE guys and a spot does open late, does the staff try and take TG with the other 2 already locked in. Hopefully the staff are smarter than that.
I agree but surely Butch wouldn't try to pull something like that.
I try and look at things as you mentioned at face value. IF JJ were to get moved from QB to S, THEN you look to replace that spot. Stacking players tied to "what if" scenarios IMO is a sure way to hurt yourself in the long run. QD & JJ are being recruited and signed as QBs. IMO that is what I count them as and roll with that. Both stick, you focus on signing just 1 in 2016. JJ moves early after getting to campus and you maybe consider 2 QBs in 2016.
No he did not. He said he didn't think we were the favorite. Since then Gibson has reiterated several times that we in fact do lead. People keep making up stuff people supposedly said instead of listening to what they really said.
