Rucker was on 104.5 and said UT has cooled on TG. Maybe already posted...

That doesn't invalidate anything I said. He just named us his leader once again. Ryan Callahan wrote an article in the Knoxville News Sentinel today saying he has a scholarship offer and is a target. Those are facts.

They probably have cooled.. He was the number one prospect on their board at one point. I doubt he is now. That would be them cooling. Moving someone down your board doesn't mean you have stopped recruiting them or would not take a commit.

You're starting to come around. Reality is setting in. It's alright my friend. It's not so bad, I promise.

I said awhile ago he moved down on the board probably. The difference is I know moving down doesn't mean they won't take his commit or that they stopped recruiting him. McKenzie and Richmond are probably the top targets. Gibson is still being heavily recruited by us though. Just not as much as the linemen.

Heavily recruited huh? Alright.

Rucker and Jimmy Hyams usually swap information and keep up to date on everything. They may have a breaking story tomorrow about Kamara possibly committing to Tennessee.

I'd expect Hyams any day now to say UT has backed off of Gibson. About 3 weeks late, but he will come around in time.

You work Twitter like a 5 dollar hooker works a John.

Putting in that work! I like it.

I don't go on twitter. You are the twitter guy apparently. You have yours listed right there on your profile. I think its weird and creepy to follow a bunch of HS kids on twitter. The articles coming out, including the one linked on the previous page have Gibson naming us his leader. That is what I based what I have said on.

Relax. 5 dollar hookers aren't that bad.

I obviously have you mistaken for someone else I follow. Carry on sir.

Someone hook it up with this article.

Torrance Gibson mentions a possible UCF visit. Wouldn't shock me to see him eventually fall there. (VIP) 5-star Gibson talks with Butch Jones …

Summary
5-star Gibson talks with Butch Jones
Five-star quarterback Torrance Gibson spoke with Tennessee head coach Butch Jones on Thursday. What was shared? What’s the latest on Gibson’s recruitment?

“We were just catching up,” Gibson told 247Sports.com Saturday morning. “There were rumors going around that they had stopped recruiting me. He said he’s not where those things got out and I didn’t either. He said they are still recruiting me as a quarterback and they still want me to come.”
The Plantation (FL) American Heritage standout visited Tennessee and Auburn in June. Where to next?

“I might go to one or two places in July after The Opening,” Gibson said. “Maybe to Ohio State or Central Florida.”

The Buckeyes remain in contact.
“I haven’t talked to Urban Meyer or (offensive coordinator) Tom Herman in a while, but I still talk with (Director of Player Personnel Mark) Pantoni. He wants me to visit," Gibson said.
Miami is also keeping the lines of communication open.

“They are coming at me hard,” Gibson said. “I hear from Al Golden, (running backs) coach Hurlie Brown and (quarterbacks) coach (James) Coley. They are sending me pictures and videos. I think they might get (my teammate 2016 wide receiver Brandon) Snelson soon but I’m not 100-percent sure.”
The nation’s No. 1 dual-threat QB is also starting to hear from Arizona.

“They are coming into the recruiting process,” Gibson said. “They’ve been in contact and like my film. Hopefully they offer soon.”
The nation’s No. 16 prospect had hoped to make his college choice this winter.
“I’ll probably do it sooner now,” Gibson said. “Probably sometime in the middle of my season after a few official visits.”

The No. 6 overall prospect in the state of Florida told 247Sports.com that Tennessee led Auburn and LSU in order on June 12 following a five-day visit to Knoxville.

He’s since backed off having any leaders.
“I’m not sure right now,” Gibson said. “I need some time. I haven’t talked to all of the coaches I want to. I’m still considering Tennessee, Ohio State, Auburn, UCF, LSU, Arizona, Oklahoma and Miami.”

As a junior, Gibson threw for 1,864 yards and 19 touchdowns while rushing for 1,032 yards and 10 touchdowns leading his team to a state championship.

Pretty clear that no one knows anything. What's the point is bashing each other? Everyone is getting blue in the face(metaphorically speaking) arguing about something they truthfully have no idea about. It's pretty laughable, you know, us Vol fans bashing each other, seeing how not one person on this board has any clue. It's pretty obvious even the analysts aren't 100% sure what's going on. Why don't we save the arguements since everyone is clueless and let it play out. I know, that's asking a lot from all the egos in the RF

IMO clear damage control and his next visit will be his new leader, IF they will take him.

:eek:lol:mad: now no leader.

Miami may now be filling up at QB. Maybe it is UCF or AZ.

I liked this opinion better when Methuselah originally posted it. :whistling:

I myself don't get into the bashing of other posters on the board. I can usually carry on a conversation and my opinion w/out turning to insults of my fellow Vols.

How many 5 star recruits have we had that have actually worked out? Other than EB, most if not all have been train wrecks as of late. Seriously, I can't think of one (and we've had several) in the past 10 years other than EB.

That's because Dooley and Kiffin evaluated them and they have proven to be total fools in talent evaluation.

Hurd and Malone will be elite though, so we've bucked the trend.

Yeah, if you look at Rivals say over the last 10 years our 5* gets/production has been ugly. Jesse Mahelona would be the only 1 I would add to Berry where it worked out well for UT.

Brown, Donald, Vinson, Morely, Toeina, Fisher, Da'Rick, Jackson, maybe a couple others.

Brown was alright as a TFR, just his family got in the way.

Da'Rick and Jackson were alright if they could have kept from lighting up.

Morley had a lot of talent, but don't recall what sent him packing.
