'15 GA OLB Quarte Sapp (UT Signee 2/4/15)

Sorry, when did relevant linebacker discussion become against board policy again?

...

Oh, it didn't? Then maybe you should shut your pie hole.

Why are you so angry? Someone switch the meatloaf with a dog's turd?

Lol na... just amazed that out of all the dumpster fire threads the guy has to choose from where he could actually make a snide comment ( I'm looking at YOU, Torrance!!), he chooses the one where theres actually something legitimate ( depth chart) being discussed. Something about it just rubbed me the wrong way.

Been wanting to make this point about Creamer that you don't have to make about McDowell or Sapp. McDowell and Sapp are obvious defensive minded players. They would just soon lay a lick on you as breathe. Don't know if or if not on Creamer. That was a fundamental thing that has kept so many guys from contributing. They get flipped to the other side and are duds. My first impression is TE as well. There is a need there and not so much at DE/LB.

Spoke again to someone who is indirectly connected to Sapp, and it appears to be a UT, FSU, and maybe UF battle. I believe that his grandmother lives in Tallahassee, but he has very good things to say about UT. Obviously, Paulk was a teammate, and I believe he knows Dobbs as well from the area.

Sapp is a versatile player that excels versus the run and the pass. Against the run he does a great job of flowing down the line before filling and making a tackle. That kind of patience is rare for a young linebacker, but Sapp plays disciplined and then when the opportunity arises, he strikes. I saw great examples of him reading his keys and exploding to the football at the appropriate time without being over-aggressive.

This not to say that Sapp isn’t an aggressive football player. He is. He flies to the football and plays with a passion for the game. He just doesn’t let that passion overtake his responsibilities within the defensive scheme.

Would love to get this guy, we already have a hammer hitter MLB in cherry, a beastly athletic OLB in Austin, and Sapp would complete the other OLB spot as the speedy guy who would rack up sacks and TFL coming from all different angles!

How come mcdowell is always mentioned moving to LB but TK jr isn't really mentioned much? TK is almost linebacker sized now, kid is huge. Having him and bates on both outsides would be fun to watch... IMO.

I really like TKJr at LB too...I just want him on the field. He's gonna see it early and often no matter the position imo.

Taller (barely) and heavier (13lbs) IMO. Personally, I'd rather see them both stay at S and just keep recruiting bigger stud OLBs like Bates and Smith.

Well obviously that's the ideal plan. But you can throw that crazy emoji at me all day, lets not pretend like kids don't grow into other positions.
