Somewhere along the line the art of tackling was lost. Chavis new how to coach, and his "smaller and faster" approach worked well here (and LSU for that matter). On another note, it is nice to have multiple elite options in the recruiting aspect of things. CBJ is putting together a great class on paper. Let's hope it translates. I believe it will.

I don't know why people assume guys like McDowell and Kelly have to be LB's because of their growing size.

Bernard Pollard was upwards of 225 and remained at safety through his career.

I wasn't trying to say they couldn't, but this way we can put three of the best guys,IMO, that we signed last year on the field at the same time with TK, Cortez, and Gaulden

I'd say it has to do with the numbers we are accumulating at the positions.

SS: Kelly, McNeil, Elliot Berry

FS: Randolph, McDowell, L. Johnson

...That's good depth but not the greatest. Randolph will soon be gone and McNeil is about to be passed over.

*Swafford also factors in there but I find it hard to believe he will be starting much longer.
