'15 GA OLB Quarte Sapp (UT Signee 2/4/15)

True, but...

SS: Kelly, McNeil, Elliot Berry

FS: Randolph, McDowell, L. Johnson

...That's good depth but not the greatest. Randolph will soon be gone and McNeil is about to be passed over.

*Swafford also factors in there but I find it hard to believe he will be starting much longer.

Gaulden, griffin, and maybe Jennings.

Quarte Sapp, LB, 6-1/197, Alpharetta, Ga.

With Jacob Johnson moving to defensive end permanently and with the uncertainty surrounding Chris Weatherd's situation, suddenly last year's linebacker signing class is cut in half making the linebacker position one of need in the class of 2015.
Sapp has said he would like to make a decision this summer and the Vols have appeared to be the leader or school to watch the most the last few weeks. Sapp obviously knows a good bit about the Vols. True freshman running back Treyvon Paulk was a teammate of Sapp's at Milton High School. Quarterback Joshua Dobbs is from Alpharetta as is defensive end commitment Andrew Butcher.

Sapp had hoped to be in town for Tennessee's orange carpet day back in June. The Vols are trying to get him to Rocky Top for another visit in July. Sapp has also talked about visiting Nebraska as well as Texas A&M.

Sapp has said he would like to make a decision this summer, but only if he gets to see the schools on his radar. If he doesn't see everyone then it will likely be a January timeline in terms of a decision.

Not too much, JRM is only 214 and I think he will hold down a spot for 3 seasons. We need that speed in a bad way.

JRM was 214 on the last update. that will change by the time they update again. agree abou the speed though. i love the athletic linebackers we have like Bates, JRM, Berry, and hopefully Weatherd.

True, will probably play between 220 and 225ish. In the college game I'll take a fast undersized LB over a conventional 250 pounder any day.

Nope he's a game changing SS.....

I definitely agree that's his best position. I was just throwin things out there. I wanted ways to get cam, evan, Gaulden, cortez, and TK all on the field as much as possible.

I guess evan or Gaulden could slide into the nickel and it still work.

Bynum and King.. Are they being recruited over? Bynum was a 1 time Nati comit..

Can't really say yet. Bynum looked like a good backup to AJ this spring and King red shirted this year. So to say a player that hasn't played yet is being recruited over is kind of a stretch.
