Both went to Norcross, and were in the same class. I don't know why the poster thinks there would be a connection that would draw AK to Knoxville, if DeShields went there. I think Croom, Jenkins, and someone else I'm forgetting, who AK is very good friends with, would have a bigger effect on him.

The question that I have is I wonder why DeShields is leaving UNC. She tore it up as a true FR last year. Maybe I can throw out the MzTerry bat signal, and she can drop in here with some info, if it's appropriate.

Sorry man. I had no clue that she was transferring from North Carolina. My bad. I still think that she would not affect AK's recruitment a lot, but it may give him some more of a comfort level to have more friends from high school on Rocky Top.

OAN: that pipeline from Norcross to Knoxville is starting to set up nicely it looks like. 😳😱😎

I didn't elaborate in my initial post, but you made my point for me. I live about 20 minutes from Norcross High School and have been to quite a few of their football and basketball games. As in most high schools, the athletes are tight with each other. I've seen Diamond and Alvin together a lot. This goes for a lot of the athletes at NHS. Diamond committing is not the end all be all for AK, but I think if she comes along it'll definitely help. Didn't mean to take conversation off topic.

No worries, man! From what little I know, DeShields coming to Rocky Top certainly doesn't hurt our chances with AK. 😎
