The 6-foot-3, 285-pound defensive lineman's first visit was last spring. He followed that up with a return visit earlier this winter for a junior day and was back on campus early this week. Taylor credits his relationship with Vol assistant coach Mark Elder as one of the reasons for his interest in the Vols.
"Our relationship has grown stronger as the time has gone on. He's from Ohio, so we have stuff in common," Taylor said. "It's good just to get to know another person that knows about my life and the things I go through."
"I really like the coaches, a lot. There are great facilities and great history there. I've been in touch with coach Elder, he's my recruiting coach, and I really like him a lot," Taylor said. "I like coach Jones' method and how he goes about things."
"I really couldn't spend much time with the players because they had school that day, but I'm looking to see if I can get back down to spend a weekend with them or something like that," Taylor said. "I got to spend time with all the coaches and see what they do and how they do things. They were going over the defense with me and just that one-on-one time with the coaches really meant a lot."
