Coach Jefferson gave Butch the thumbs up as Van has told his mom he has no desire to be @ UGA and she has given Van permission to do what he wants.

Not sure if this is what GFW was referring to but per TOS, Butch was extremely well received at Ravenwood and all other high schools he visited. One poster even said he received "Rock Star" treatment.

Also as has been reported on this site and others, Van's father, Titans coach Shawn Jefferson, is very much in UT's corner and some have suggested he is even pushing Van that way now after his mother pushed UGA.

-He is a former UAB back up lineman and runs a 7-7 team in the midstate area. He also acts as a street agent for recruits.

-A few years ago he asked a UT coach for $2,000 to bring Brian Kimbrow and Will Redmond to a UT camp.

-He has very openly spoke out against UT and his attempts to steer recruits away from UT sin the past few after school officials refused to pay him. He went on the radio and said he "hates UT" and "no player of mine will ever go there if I have anything to say about it."

-He openly bragged about having a sexual relationship with a UT player's mother (believed to be Tiny Richardson) and has been banned from UT's campus.

-He completely sold Will Redmond out during an NCAA investigation into Miss State's recruiting tactics claiming he saw redmond take cash from a prominent bulldog booster.

-His most famous line is "I seen $100 handshakes...I swear it" which was an exact quote from him on a Mississippi radio show.

-He is an anti UT scumbag who needs his ass kicked. period.

I'm glad that he has been called out for what he is. He was run out of Rutherford Co on a rail for pulling his crap. I'm also thrilled to have read that he doesn't have anything to do with Van. After that pic surfaced, I was ready to move on and let him go anywhere else.

I was thinking something was fishy about that. Shawn seems like an intelligent guy I doubt he'd knowingly let his son near that filth

I think I read at the time it was a chance encounter on Van's official to GA. I'm a little surprised that GA grants him passes.
