From Rivals:
One of the prospects that has Bulldogs fans nervous is Georgia wide receiver commit Van Jefferson. He gave Woody Womack the latest on his commitment status to the Bulldogs.
"You know, I am still committed to the University of Georgia," Jefferson said. "Coach Richt and Coach [Tony] Ball, and Coach Bobo and those guys, I am still fully committed. My dad wants me to take some visits just to see around and see what's going on so I think I am going to take that into consideration and see what he wants me to do."
Florida is the new name that has come up with Jefferson. "They are still recruiting me," Jefferson replied. "I was born and raised in Florida right there in Jacksonville so I have some ties there and you know that my hometown and my home state. They are still recruiting me, Coach Chris Leak, I still talk to them and things like that so there still there."
With Florida entering the picture, Jefferson could visit the Gators when he visits his family in Jacksonville.
"I might, I think I am going to go down there and visit some family so while I'm down there I think I might just go over there and see it for one more time," Jefferson said. The coaching search in Gainesville (FL) is being monitored closely by the Jefferson family.
"We are watching it closely," Jefferson responded. "Me and my dad are watching it. ... Were still keeping an eye on it to see who they are going to pick and I know they will make the right decision."
Tennessee is also giving Jefferson and his family something to think hard about. "You know, it's in-state. All the fans would love to see me play there," Jefferson added. "I am always going to have that thing for Tennessee because it's right here in-state."
