The thing is VFL they "the coaches" are preaching to Van he is better and more of a pure WR than 2 guys. In this offense only North and Malone are pure wrs. North is still a work in progress but still the best you have. Yes you have a lot of utility guys and slot guys but not pure WR. Croom could be good but......, Josh Smith is good but not a pure every down WR, Pig is a pure small slot guy, Johnson is another slot guy. Van is a legit already technically sound pure X or Y WR. The problem we have with the current guys is getting separation and Van is almost ahead of them on that right now due to his coaching at home. Since day 1 he's always maintained his love for UT but momma and the relationship with Rocker caused us a little dissension in his heart. But as of today he hates the UGA offense and doesn't see any future at the qb position. Mason is bad and the guys behind him have to be awful in his eyes to not get any attempts to play right now.

My shop is a few blocks from Vandy and they're talking about limiting the amount of tickets UT can get outside of their current allotment. People we have to make this happen. BTW we'll most likely be in attendance for that game too.

This makes a lot of sense and I really want Van. Him, Preston, North, and Malone combined with Dobbs and everyone else, this offense will be unstoppable. Thanks for the response and keep working with Van. We need him

The last I've read on Van's situation is that TN hasn't been doing much of anything with him since he committed. My guess is if he flips it would be to someone else. They do need another WR but I'd think it would be more of a slot guy like a Newsome type.

With Bruce and Perry likely to play Slot, not sure if we really need a 3rd in this class. JMO

I do agree though. I doubt Van is a priority for UT at this point.

What about Von Pearson? He is a true wr, and Smith is much better than the small amount of credit you are giving to him. He would have produced more than most on our roster if he had not been injured. He was coming in strong right before.

They say that every year but at end of the day it's a money making business. Do you want an empty stadium of only vandy fans or do you want to actually sell out your stadium for once this year because of TN fans. They will give in closer to game time because they want the money.

It doesn't really matter what they do with UT's allotment. Anyone can go on their (Vandy's) website and buy a ticket to the game.

Very much so NashVegas i agree 100%. I used to cut their bball tm and i had tickets given to me by Festus Ezeli and Stallings told them if they ever gv tickets to a UT fan again they'd run as a team for 1 man's decision. Itwas amazingly funny. Poor little Candy lol

Also I failed to mention not shunning Smith @ all. Just remember there's a difference in a possession WR and a playmaker. There's always a place for Rickey Proel types but also a must hv for legit game changing WRs

Havr you seen or heard about them this year? Mason and his staff have a clue. So bad that several prominent alumnd are offering tobpay the buyout to rid the school of the coach.

Well, since the Great Depression, TN is 71-11-2 against Vandy. bUTch will have the guys ready to curb stomp Candy this year. This year's Dobbs is not the same as last year's Dobbs. The defense will also come very prepared. I think Candy will be lucky to score 10 points this year.

Oddly enough in the USCe game UT put up 650 yards on offense and their (2) supposed deep threats didn't do a thing(North/Malone). Seems that possession type WRs can get it done as well.
