'15 TN WR Van Jefferson

With Jefferson especially, I would think dad's advice, being the coach and all would win out over everyone else.

Coach and former player at a few different levels. I think Richt's seat could get very hot next year though, UT is about to be a handful for a lot of teams in the east and UGA generally underachieves a few times each year. UGA is used to being the most talented team on the field and IDK that they're going to be soon with the way we are recruiting and developing players.

Agree 100% with all of this. It's baffling at some of the losses UGA has every year. They've had the most talent in the SEC East every year for the last 5+ seasons.

Only thing that might help him is UF may go through a transition or keep Muschamp which who knows what the hell you get with a team coached by him. Also Spurrier may be through but who knows if he'll retire or not.

Anyone have an opinion on Gary Pinkel? I've heard a lot of names thrown around about the coaching carosel. Anyone think another program makes a run at him?

GA has settled for good but not great with their program.. Hard to fire a nice guy like Richt but his time is fast approaching

Richt is obviously a great coach. He has won and recruited and done everything you want a coach to do. That being said, at this point if I am a UGA fan I am sick and tired of his apathetic attitude.

Completely agree. They should have won the east all of the previous 4 years and this year as well with the talent they have had and how down the east has been.

JS is open because their best players are on our best players. Him being better than he should be then makes him a matchup nightmare for the players we try to expose. WRU

Exactly finally someone who understands the concept of football and matchups. People Josh is not bad wr @ all. But if North is matched up with the #1 cb and plays the X and Malone, etc is at the Y playing against a #2 cb the 3rd guy in the Z whether Pig, Smith, Johnson will be on a safety or nickel guy. Josh Smith runs precise routes and is very smart but most of all very technical. Guys like Jordy Nelson and Tim Dwight are rare but the Wes Welker, Edelman, guys are guys who know how to find space and get open has nothing to do with speed @ all. Has nothing to do with race or none of that.

Hard to believe Georgia fans want to get rid of Richt. I understand he does manage to lose a game every year that he should not, but hell I would give anything for a 9-11 win coach every year after what we have been through.

Here in Georgia on the sports talk radio 92.9fm, they are saying that UGA ranks 6th nationally in income brought in just from football program alone to the athletic department, at around 77 million annually. They said this is why the athletic department is unwilling to make a change, and even sited UT as an example of what happens when you Fire a coach that's winning, for an unknown future coach. I never thought about this before, nor did I think UGA generated that much money.

This weekend is going to be huge for recruiting.

Also, on Van, looking as good as it possibly could right now for us considering he's committed to another school.

I have him on my personal commit list after all's said and done.

You got your Z and Y mixed up just for future reference, but your point still holds true. :hi:
