'15 TN WR Van Jefferson

You got your Z and Y mixed up just for future reference, but your point still holds true. :hi:

In our offense they all seem to line up all over the place so I don't think anyone is set at a particular spot. I've seen North in slot at times

Well, you must take into account that when North, Vonn, and Malone are all playing at the same time one of those guys are going to seam to be playing as a slot WR. Hardly ever do those guys run routes like PIG or Johnson run. Most the time North, Malone, Croom, and Vonn are all being sent atleast 7 yards down field. As of late, Vonn is being used in motion. PIG on the other hand, will run 3-5 yard in, slant, or hitch routes. What you won't see is PIG consistently lining up on the outside. So, it's not so much that our WR positions are interchangeable as much as it's the type of personal we are running at the same time.

Here in Georgia on the sports talk radio 92.9fm, they are saying that UGA ranks 6th nationally in income brought in just from football program alone to the athletic department, at around 77 million annually. They said this is why the athletic department is unwilling to make a change, and even sited UT as an example of what happens when you Fire a coach that's winning, for an unknown future coach. I never thought about this before, nor did I think UGA generated that much money.
5-7 twice in 3yrs was winning?

If Hamilton had hired a QUALIFIED HC....rather than 2 HC's in a row with no winning credentials as a HC...then we would have been fine. It's Hamilton's lousy, tight-wad hiring decisions that put us in the tank for years. Gary Patterson was the perfect target for the job and he was VERY interested in the job, when Fulmer was let go. He was one of those that was interviewed.

We could have had Kevin Sumlin, rather than Dooley the second time around. So, it's all on Hamilton. not firing a coach who has long been trending in the wrong direction.

I swear our offense looked like a triple option against SC with Von in motion like that.

When we get more depth and talent at the RB position

I'd like to see a RB line up on both sides of the QB(Dobbs) in shotgun formation. Put a TE on one side. Have the QB read the weak side DE. If he goes to the RB the QB pulls the ball and runs a speed option to the weak side.

Your point is made, but he had losing records in 2005 and 2008. So 2 in 4 years, not 3.

VQ says Jefferson has had multiple opportunities to attend vol game this year but has yet to show up. Didn't De1conley say he brought Jefferson to a game?

He seemed to insinuate that was a possibility but he never said if he actually ended up following through with the visit. He mentioned a few days before bama game that he was hoping to bring him up but doesn't sound like it happened.

Jefferson could become even a bigger priority if Preston has an ACL injury.

Wondering if De1conley is this guy:

I think we continue to push for Jefferson but I don't have much faith if good ole Byron is anywhere close to his recruitment.
