Can't find much info, but 247 has him as a 90 4* and the #9 Dual QB
We also have a CB prediction, but have not offered

Here is a video of one game. He seems to be a good runner and have a pretty good arm.

Kid looks like a good one. Interesting that we have a CB prediction from a "Texas" insider. If you look at his 247 timeline, his stats on the games listed are just outstanding. High % passing and is obviously a great runner as well. Great HS program in Texas.

If he has enough interest in us to warrant a CB prediction from a Texas guy, he could be one of the QBs we take next year. I don't know how much interest the staff has in him, but he looks like he could be worth a spot in next year's class

Southlake Carroll has a pipeline system that gets the best out of it's signalcallers....they start in the youth leagues and don't usually get their shot until their sophomore or junior campaigns....point?...Chase Daniel and Greg McElroy are notable alumni and any prospect getting attention this early is worth a look...this kid will be fundamentally sound and composed....cool under pressure, a winner and schooled in an offense eerily similar to what Butch runs

I just know him as a player in the local scene...up and coming, but not a star at this point...Voldoc81intx lives in that rich burg...Maybe we can get him to chat it up at the yacht club :idea:

They got a sweet stadium. Lived in Keller for a while. Southlake has a great program.

Does this seem strange to anybody else? A random Texas kid gets a Crystal Ball prediction to UT when it appears we haven't even offered.

Does he have a connection to UT?

it happens all of the time. we seem to be one of the only schools that is showing interest. the longer you have a prediction out, the more crystal ball points you earn. a lot of times a kid will get his first offer, and then get predictions to that school.

Stats this year: completed 236 of 316 passes (74.7%) for 31 TDs & 7 INTs, rushed 175 times for 1,252 yards & 20 TDs.

Awesome numbers...I know, but this is a TYPICAL season for a Southlake QB..
think of Texas Tech....high school version :)

I can't remember a non-legacy kid getting a prediction to us -- and only us -- without an offer and so far away from Knoxville. That prompted my question about the kid having ties to the school.

His film is rather short, but from the throws I saw in that video he has a pretty strong arm and very nice touch on the ball for someone who isn't even a senior in high school.

That is really what I though when I first saw the thread. LOL. I looked at his ht/wt and did a double take. Then my brain turned on and processed what I was seeing. Everyone had a moron moment every now and then.

I just never saw a Dual Threat QB with the DT portion in the thread title. Maybe the mods can edit the title before someone messes themselves and slips in it. Lawsuit in the making. I wonder if Freak has insurance against accidents that happen in here?
