Going to be a top player in TX for 2015. It seems that he was almost ready to commit to Texas until he starting receiving more offers this spring from notable schools.

The Texas Longhorns were the clear front-runner, and in some respects are still in the driver's seat. However, Jefferson wants to make sure he gives everyone a fair shake before pulling the trigger.

“[Recruiting is] something I want to enjoy,” Jefferson said. “I just don't feel like committing right now is the right thing to do. I want to see what all is out there.”

Things have been going fast for Jefferson. USC and Oregon have been in contact recently – he's intrigued by the Trojans but is unsure of Oregon's future as it relates to potential NCAA sanctions impacting the Ducks.

Clemson, Mississippi State and Ohio State are now among Jefferson's double-digit offers after a busy spring. With all of the new schools entering the picture and with him wanting to slow things down, it begs the question as to where Texas sits right now.

He was at Ole Miss this weekend. They have his mother in their corner already.

"I know this will be a good school for him," she said. "I just love the academic part of the school here. And the spiritual part is a big for me, as well. I feel like I can trust Coach (Tom) Allen. And that's a big thing."

Ole Miss had quite a bit of talent on campus this weekend.

Religion is a big deal in this part of the country. Not surprising some people might value that in a school.

I'm just saying if she's impressed with OLE MISS academics she'll be blown away at UT. And that's kind of sad to be honest.

And this spiritual talk she is on about... I know they have churches in Mississippi and lots of them, but at Ole Miss Sundays are just another day to party with beautiful women.
