'15 TX QB Quinten Dormady (UT Commit 6/9/14)

also has quick throwing motion.

Anyone can have a quick throwing motion, it's being powerful and accurate with a quick throwing motion that's key.

My throwing motion can look identical to that, but the ball would end up far short and far wide of my target lol.

Tebow disagrees that anyone can have a quick throwing motion.

My wife can have a quick throwing motion, being accurate and adequately powerful with a quick through my motion is what makes a good QB. Tebow didn't have accuracy or power.

I just meant Tebow had that god awful loop in his motion making it way slower than NFL scouts wanted.. Or so every analyst told us.

Ya I never bought that whole thing. If he were accurate his throwing motion would have never been questioned IMO

His throwing motion is a big part of what made him innacurate. He threw like a pitcher would throw with his wind up (which he was a former pitcher). He is not the only qb who grew up a pitcher who threw like that.

If you bring the ball down by your waist and throw a football like a pitcher would throw a baseball, it makes it very hard to throw a spiral. If you don't throw a spiral it makes it very hard to accurately project the ball exactly where you want it to go. And with the speed of the NFL, it's a game of inches and having that issue meant being off by at least a couple of inches almost every throw. Couldn't last like that.

I **** you not, there was some poor kid at Gruden's QB camp, The Arsenal, that threw just like that.

I nearly laughed when I saw him in drills, which made me feel even worse for the kid.

I've never claimed to be a scout, so I guess it's no surprise that I can't take anything away from a video that doesn't show where the throw ended up.

Good footwork I guess?

Probably gonna get bashed for this, but does anyone else think his stance looked a little wide after he dropped back? Disclaimer: I'm excited about this kid as anyone... just asking a question.

Sorry if this has already been discussed in the thread, but does anyone know when Rivals will do their next evaluation? I assume Dormady will get a bump.

Hey if any of you other Texas boys wanna road trip down to Boerne one weekend to catch this kid play in person this season, let me know!
