Ya I never bought that whole thing. If he were accurate his throwing motion would have never been questioned IMO
Not true. His throwing motion was just that bad and IMO a lot of his accuracy issues were due to his throwing motion. Tebow wound it back so far and had such a slow release that it allowed the cornerbacks to read where he was going with the ball much quicker than with any other QB in the NFL. This allowed them to easily jump the receiver routes, often times before he even released the ball which is why you saw him double clutching so much. Tebow pretty much had to be throwing to wide open receivers, which is why he had to scramble around before he threw so much in order to buy time for his receivers to break off their routes and try to find the open zones in the defensive backfield. You hardly ever saw him throw his receiver open and if he did it was truly a miracle of God. This all was somewhat masked at Florida (although if you knew what you're looking for it was fairly obvious and the reason so many people said he would never be an NFL QB) because Urbans offense was schemed to were he was throwing to wide open receiver for the majority of their plays or if they weren't he could scramble around until they were or just take off. That offense was taylor made for him. And there is a reason that receivers never progressed at Florida but that a whole 'nother discussion haha. There is also a reason that no NFL team (or heck even Canadian team) has wanted him even after an amazing college career and the infamous "Tebow time", and it's not because he's a Christian.
***steps off of soapbox***
edit: dang that was longer than I realized..
Doug Matthews stated that he feels even stronger this week about the Vols not signing another QB in this class because he said that he has been told that UT coaches have made the decision to not accept or sign another QB in this class, whether that players is a dual threat QB or a pro-style QB. Jennings and Dormady are their QBs in this class.
The staff believes that there is stability at the QB position because of this class of QBs.
Tennessee quarterback commit Quinten Dormady spoke with IT about any potential worry with the Vols adding another QB between now and National Signing Day: Not really. Im confident with how I play, and I think I fit the system fairly well. Like I said, I just want to help the team in any way that I can.

He is not kidding. It threw off his footwork and timing.I won't name this person, but it was immature and ridiculous. It is the only camp he has attended where anyone has talked about footwork problems.
Texas high school football is a dog eat dog atmosphere unmatched in this country.
What's this business about Dormady's camp performance that was sabotaged by his snapper that nixed his chance at the Elite 11?

he was at one the tryouts and the dad of another QB trying out was the one who snapped the balls to the QBs and he was snapping them at Captain D's ankles and wide left and right and basically went full bammer on Captain D.... Dont be worried though the Captain is at worse a top 3 QB in this class and has a very legitimate chance at claiming his spot at the top after this season
I ca't say anything about names. I do know the Vols coaches are aware of what happened. They aren't worried. They have seen his footwork.
