'15 TX QB Quinten Dormady (UT Commit 6/9/14)

Peterman is not going anywhere. I understand that he enjoys the University of Tennessee and he has a ver serious girlfriend who attends college at UT. He will be here for the duration of his available time at UT.

Who said he was ?

Peterman has been written off by too many. Football has seen many achieve greatness at the most inopportune times. The kid is not a quitter like the other one.

Truth. Got mad respect for Natty Pete. Dude's performance against Florida was the butt of everyone's jokes for a reason. But did he quit and go somewhere else afterwards? Nope. Stuck it out and kept grinding.

Cannot wait to see this kid play at UT. Our QB depth is going to be better than it has been in a long time. Dobbs, QD, Gibson and JJ. Boom!

It's really hard to take someone serious who leaves out a current UT QB(Peterman) and includes a kid who won't be a QB for the Vols(TG). Just silly.

Good effort though.

Nothing wrong with that. He is not our future at QB, but he's a VFL

IMO if Dobbs starts in '15 it'll be 2016 before we start to improve. It just seems like with QB's either they got it or they don't.
I would love for Dormady to come in and show promise and take the job for 3-4 years.
I also think there's a pretty good chance of it happening with him being an EE and a Coach's son.

People are putting to much stock into Dobbs' performance last year as a true freshman. The coaching staff had every intention of redshirting Dobbs and he was only getting reps with the scout team the majority of the season. Due to injuries of everyone else on the roster he was thrown to the wolves. Dobbs is by far the most intelligent QB we have had since Manning and now he is actually getting to learn every aspect of the offense and is taking 1st and 2nd team reps. From all reports he has worked his butt off this off season and has gone anywhere he can to get better at his craft. I think he is going to surprise a lot of the naysayers and even many of his supporters. I, for one, am truly excited about the future of this young VFL.

I hope he can throw the long ball accurately and remain calm in the pocket. I like the kid and wish him the best. I have no doubt that he can learn the system inside out and make great decisions.

His throwing motion is a big part of what made him innacurate. He threw like a pitcher would throw with his wind up (which he was a former pitcher). He is not the only qb who grew up a pitcher who threw like that.

If you bring the ball down by your waist and throw a football like a pitcher would throw a baseball, it makes it very hard to throw a spiral. If you don't throw a spiral it makes it very hard to accurately project the ball exactly where you want it to go. And with the speed of the NFL, it's a game of inches and having that issue meant being off by at least a couple of inches almost every throw. Couldn't last like that.

Tell Peyton Manning that he doesn't throw the prettiest balk in the world but very accurate

Peyton has a consistent release. He throws plenty of spirals. Even when he doesn't he can still project the ball well because of his his release and footwork. He does throw a pretty ball plenty. No one throws a perfect spiral on every throw.

Really starting to think that Dormady we'll be the guy to complete this class and this team down the road. Even if you're brimming with talent across the board, if you're not truly solidifying the qb spot, it's hard to actually win an NC and reach you're full potential. Ask LSU, post Matt Flynn.

It appears Dormady is lengths above the current QB talent now on our squad. If Ferguson had stayed, the battle for The spot in 2015 would have been interesting. I look forward to the future.

Don't see how you can tell Dormady is miles better than anyone we have right now. all you have to go on is his soph year. I think Dobbs is putting the work to really break out Dormady and JJ are for down the road. I can live without Gibson and his BS.
