And we are one of them. Let that sink in for a minute. Well as you can tell by my name I supported Coach Martin since day one up until the mid part of this season. I'll be the first to admit that I gave up on him after the NCST game. I even made it public by starting a thread (like I'm doing now) I gave up on him because I thought he gave up on us and the players and because I thought the players gave up on themselves, their coach, and their fans. They didn't play like they wanted to be here and CCM didn't coach like he wanted to be here. I even wanted my name changed I can admit that I was dumb for that. Was it right that majority of the Fans (including myself) gave up on him. IMO yes it was because they weren't giving 100% effort. It's ok to lose, but what makes it not ok is when you don't put 100% effort into the game or to your team.

I am a man, so I'll admit when I'm wrong. I signed the petition, am I proud of it? No, I'm not but I do honestly believe that it lit a fire under Martin and the team. It brought the players closer and it brought them closer to their coaches. It was wrong of our fans to do that but what's done is done and it really shows how strong our coach is. He didn't let that bring him down. He improved himself as a coach and got better from it.

It's ok for the select few who had Cuonzo's back the entire time to boast a little bit, but you can't blame the ones that wanted better for the team and for our program. This is what we wanted. We wanted a coach that showed emotion...check! We wanted a coach that the players wanted to play for...check! We wanted consistency...check! And last but not least we wanted 100% effort...Check!

I know my attitude towards the coach and the players was about as up and down as the regular season...but when people ask me if I'm still stoked4zo, I'm going to give a big hell yeah!!! This is my crow eating thread and wanted to say congrats to the team and most importantly the coach that took the most heat this year Cuonzo Martin!

and to the OP, take a page out of Zo's book and not let emotions get the best of you. Extreme highs/lows make it tough for those around you

I might have got down on him,but i never wanted Bruce back.He is the reason for all the mess we had to go through. I am just glad Coach Martin is doing it the right way and not cutting corners just for wins.

Lol! It's hilarious, my "Very Proud" post from last night got infiltrated by the VFL/bandwagon police. Regardless, I am glad for whatever the reason may be, that the basketVols are playing their best at this point!

We are in the Sweet 16, looking forward the next 3 years, when do we get there again, I would say within the next 2 or 3 years, it is going to be interesting but I do believe a lot of with the observations above regarding systems. Martin with an assistance that is geared offensively will always put us in a position to contend.

This Michigan is going to show what he can do with a weeks worth of prep to defend against a good team. Giving him the time to do that will be worth every minute. This team does not get blown out. They can hang with any team because of defense.

Richardson has been the MVP IMO. I'm really hoping he comes in and shuts Stauskas down. He does that I really like our chances.

All the UNC Tarheels that I work with are extremely quiet today and for some reason none of them have told me congrats on making the Sweet Sixteen. Oh well, it's great to be a Tennessee Vol.

Three SEC teams in the sweet 16.

Is the SEC as bad as it has been portrayed to be this season? I say no.

The team is playing so well that it even drew a smile from Cuonzo yesterday. Who would have thought that was possible?

Interesting stat is worst case, UT will have the 5th best NCAA tourney record this year at 3-1. Only the final 4 teams will have won 4 games (5 if UT is one of them).

It never really got to freak. I never emailed him and BJ never really got the poll going. I admitted I was wrong for it. Not that embarrassed. It got pretty annoying hearing people ask me if I was still "stoked 4 Zo" but I said a couple times I'd keep the name and it wouldn't bother me too much. Was more of an immature joke to me more than anything. Regardless CCM changed and got the team buying in and my "bi polar fandom" is back on board lol. Even took a few jabs at ya BTO. It's been a crazy season but oh well. My apologies.
