'16 FL CB Tyler Byrd (UT Commit 2/2/16)

I think whether or not Byrd flips will tell us if our coaching staff knows more than everybody else or if they are in the dark. If Byrd stays in Miami, it may be a bad omen for signing day. It could be the kind of signing day where Nigel Warrior goes to Auburn, and some of our own commitments flip.

Took it a waaaaaaaay too far my dude

I may be Chicken Little, but I find it interesting that so many staffs(like Auburn) are as confident as we are in getting some of these prospects. I hope our staff knows more than they do.

The only prospect that we have heard Auburn's staff is confident on is Brown, and everyone understands that at best it's 50/50 for brown right now.

it wouldn't suprise me if Butch or ESPN has asked Byrd to wait till NSD. There would be lots of buzz about the #1 athlete on ESPN signing with TN.

I doubt ESPN has any say on when a kid makes a public announcement. Why would they?

Now I could see Butch coordinating commitments.

I've never been a fan of NSD drama. I much rather have the class done at least a week prior. When you put kids off on making a public commitment so you can make a splash on NSD is playing with fire. Especially if they are taking visits. If you want them and are sure you do, take that commitment. Don't play around.

Why, yes. Yes there are. Miami had a great run, but today it is struggling and going nowhere. Tennessee is trending up, strongly. We about to make a big splash.

In 1985 When we destroyed Testeverde and Miami in the Sugar Bowl, it was extremely enjoyable to visit with the Bluebloods from Miami who looked down there noses at us all week in the French Quarter and actually threw us out of bars they had rented.

Been around long? Every year, we underestimate Butch...every year the panic from some looks silly in retrospect. :hi:
